  1. Loving the Whalers hat, Kevin!

Winnipeg is a team on thin ice right now (pun intended). Dubois, Scheifele, Wheeler, Hellebyuck. So many people in trade rumours. It would be very easy for the team to completely collapse. And the Dubois and Scheifele rumours specifically hint at issues in the locker room.

They are a VERY likeable team. But if I was a Jets fan, I’d be pretty nervous going into this season. They could be one bad losing streak away from pulling the proverbial plug.

  2. As a Jets fan Bowness is an upgrade over Lowry (I'd rather have Trotz) but we still have the pieces IMO. I also hope Scheifele & Wheeler do great this year because I'm sick and tired of Jets "fans" calling them cancers (no proof) and wanting Laine back. I would trade Dubois & Heinola before training camp.

  3. The Jets are an extremely stable franchise, almost to a fault. They won't be gutting the roster by unloading the star players. The Jets have a very good 1,2,3 center core down the middle, with some high scoring wingers and one of the top goalies in the league. The Jets needed a defensive system upgrade and Bowness has a reputation as a very good defensive coach, so some improvements there are in the works I would say.

  4. I think bones is a good coach. But he did have some head scratchers last year with Dallas. I feel like he let Radulov go on way too long. And he wouldn’t let Mirro Heiskanen play on a strong side, even when Ryan Suter was having a down year.
