Do you feel like the poor numbers put up by Blackwood and company is a reflection of their below average performance or moreso a reflection of the team in front of them?

I wouldn't give up Blackwood just yet. We spent so much time and effort developing him and last season was weird for him. Being forced to take the vax, the heel injury that seemed to linger on and on, issues with the D. I would definitely try to snag Husso. 27 years old, 6' 3", great stats from last year, playoff starts. I think Ruff was saved by players going public saying they liked him. To bring in Brunette as an assistant is an interesting idea but it seems undermining to Ruff. It's like a Star Trek episode where the Klingon is ready to kill his leader and take command if they make a mistake.

I’m not sure what to think of the Devils coaching situation. It’s pretty obvious Fitzgerald loves Lindy so I don’t believe there will be a change nor do I think they will bring in a “big name” assistant like Brunett.
I agree with you on the goaltending. I think they stick with Blackwood and bring in another guy, not sure who.
The Devils should heavily consider Trotz for the head coaching position if Ruff doesn’t work out
