They have not get Fiala NJ will put up the 2nd OA and take him
Thank you. Finally somebody pointed out that the sens have a lot of young talent who will want to get paid soon. Don't make the Leafs mistake
So whichever team doesn’t get Fiala probably signs Burakovsky. He is about 80% of what Fiala, has cup winning experience, and almost definitely isn’t getting g re-signed by the Avs
When your talking draft picks there is to much risk. We will take Josh Norris for Fiala straight up
As a sens fan gustavsson needs to go
Fiala has averaged .8 ppg his last three years for the Wild with very marginal linemates. When he got Boldy on his line he exploded and scored at the same rate at Kaprizov. If I am Billy G, I am asking for the No. 7 and Pinto. The Wild may have to send a pick or mid level prospect back. Not sure they are going to want Gustavsson.
Well if the Wild can't afford to resign Fialla then just wait and pick him up for nothing. RFA's expecting a huge contract aren't worth much.
As a sens fan I would like this trade. It’s because of the Murray problem in a perfect world they could dump him and run Gus/forsberg and let them play it out.
Vancouver sucks
I would want a Min, to sign and trade before even considering any trade, Then sure the 7th plus another player but a winger not a centre
Wild are gonna decline… sorry
ottawa wont be that stupid we need the cap space for giroux and letang as well as our young playyers stützle comes of his rookie contract in 2023 there is no way we would take fiala and 7 should be used for matt savoie i think
To Det: Fiala
To MN: Bertuzzi 50% Retained (if you want to keep him the year after he'll most likely ask for less than fiala, plus he had almost a ppg szn and the vaccine problem is looking like it will no longer be a problem) Jan Bednar (decent goalie prospect) and the Washington 2nd that we got in the Vrana trade
Thoughts??
Edit: assuming you could get an extention done does that change anything? Ex. 6.95 mil 5 years
Edit 2: switching Minny to MN for the guy in the comments lol
Fiela would not be the best player on the Sens. Not the same system or team in Ottawa. Defence issues and goaltending Should be the priority. Dumbo makes more sense to me
Wings 007
Please don’t do this trade Ottawa. I’d rather dach or debrincat or keep the draft pick
If the Wild cannot afford Fiala, they need to trade him.
They need a draft choice with a high pedigree, or an emerging player, that will not need big bucks before the Sutter-Parise contracts are finished.
I think the Wild contracts signed last winter were to get cost certainty in fielding a team for 22-23.
It was not Fiala's fault the Wild dn get past the Blues, rhe playoff problem with Fiala not scoring was the Blues could give special attention to Dollar Bill and others.
Hard pass.
Imo as a Sens fan it’s a case of the right player at the wrong time. We need to first and foremost focus on resigning guys like Norris and Stutzle before we trade for a guy on an expiring deal. If a guy like Fiala became available 2 years from now when these core guys are locked up then I’d be 100% down to trade for him, but at the moment I think the best thing we can do is make a good pick at 7th, lock up our core guys, and wait and see if these other additions can be made further down the road.
Ottawa seems to have a ton of young skill in their forward group. I don’t think Fiala should be on their radar.
I say trade Fiala for the pick and pick up Nemeç, but get a C Pinto and steal a D Lagesson or a D Bernard Docker, I’d like C Ridley Greig
Wild are selling high are I do hope Ottawa takes a hard pass and lets him go to NJ. He is overpriced for what he actually brings and there a lot more other top 6 forwards available (I'm partial to Mikheyev) and using that 7th pick on a top 4 defenseman to play with Chabot.
Ottawa needs to draft at 7. Pay Josh this summer, Tim next summer, Sanderson the year after. We have so many prospects we can trade for roster players. Greig, 39th overall, Jarventie, Thomson, JBD, Ostapchuk, even Boucher (there’s still at least 5 other prospects who should be NHL ready in 1-3 years) Take a player like Kemmel or Savoie at 7 and keep building this thing the right way. There’s going to be players available at 7 in this years draft who will be outperforming Kevin Fiala 2-3 years into their NHL career.
Also hear me out, what about Nylander to Ottawa?
Gus won't go anywhere
The majority of MN fans love Kevin. Don’t know what you’re talking about
Can't imagine the Wild would be interested in another goalie. Maybe 7th OA and Connor Brown.
Kings fleeced Minnesota
