    Definitely not a clean hit when numbers and name is showing the whole time. Hits like this happens so not upset, just very unfortunate that it happened. The Canadian fans from other videos praising Slafkovsky for the hit or trying to say its his first NHL season so he is learning is what upsets me more than the actual hit

    4 or 5 game are you nuts!?! Remember Mark Scheifele hit on Jake evans that was like WAY WORSE than this was 5 game… I say maybe 2 game or a fine

    I gotta say, this is a very similar hit to what happened to Kris Draper that ignited the Red Wings – Avalanche rivalry. Fortunately it wasn't as damaging as the Claude Lemieux hit on Draper, but the danger of the hit and the type of hit is the same. I don't like it when this happens to ANY hockey player, much less so when it's a Red Wing.

    Am I unhappy about the hit? Absolutely! As long as the Suspension is fair, I'm not going to hate another original 6 team. I just hope that Luff has a speedy recovery, and that Slafkovsky learns from this and doesn't do this in the future.

    I was at the game last night, watching it was brutal to see. You knew he was gonna be out a bit after he went into the boards. The Soderblom penalty during that major was another rookie mistake, totally killed the mojo of that power play.

    When Juraj was hits from behind everyone said like he need to learn yeah it's true but the other add what NOTHING,so now if we put the other young man that got hits from behind by Juraj,he need to learn too so why is Juraj suspended like wtf he didn't even skate when he hits him,the hits that Juraj take before,you see that it was really intentional,way more then the hits that Juraj did. I just don't understand why he is suspended because of that. Sorry if I did some mistake I don't talk English casually

    Wings fan here. Let me say that I am more relieved than angry. Seeing the hit I had a flashback of Lemieux's hit of Draper back in 96. One thing I have to say is I have to say that I am pleased that he didn't go full speed and finish the check. It was terrible, but could have been so much worst.

    Sets a precedent on Slafkovsky's future merits here on out for the rest of his career. His clean slate is over.
    Slafkovsky could have easily just skated towards the puck being chopped up ice, instead he really took time reading for the hit.
    Fans cannot say he is young and inexperienced in this situation, something got Juraj riled up and he took out the frustration on Luff.

    I have a problem with Slav only getting a 2 game suspension for putting a guy out for 3 months. Do I think the suspension should be the duration of Luff's recovery? No but 2 games isn't enough of a punishment for putting a player out of service for half a season

    I was at the game when this happened and saw the hit as it happened. It was definitely a dirty hit. You just can’t do that when a guy is in a vulnerable spot like he was.

    This just occurred to me, Rasmussen got two games for a high stick, Slafkovsky gets two games for a hit from behind. Doesn't seem right.
