Faits saillants prolongés des Hurricanes de la Caroline aux Islanders de New York

  1. There are 2 sets of rules. One for the Islanders and one for every other team. it is absurd.

  2. There are no highlights when games are decided by officials instead of hockey players.

  3. Refs aren't the reason the Isles lost. They played 60 minutes of hockey to win the game. They had some great opportunities and didn't capitalize. There are calls that go against a team and some that go for that team. It happens. You can't go back and change it. It was a great game!

  4. This is getting out of hand with the Isles. No home ice advantage with them any longer. Disgusted

  5. We mighta lost today in overtime boys.

But the devils beat the rangers today so im not as pissed.

  6. I'm guessing it had something to do with the puck hitting the crossbar before Trocheck touching it ( maybe that nullified it)…I don't fuckin know

  7. Panther fan, and Trocheck is my guy… Congrats on the first goal as a Cane. Even though the referees are clearly smoking crack laced with meth because this was clearly a high stick

  8. For anyone wondering why the OT goal wasn't a high stick:

Tipping the puck or batting it into the net when your stick is over the crossbar is not allowed. If the Canes scored on the origingal high stick (the one that pinged off the crossbar), it wouldn't of counted. However, a high stick in regards of possession uses the shoulders as the general height rule, not that of the crossbar. Otherwise, it would be too confusing for the refs to call a high stick given that players in the NHL are all different in stature.

  9. I think they got the call right.
When the puck goes in the net off of a high stick, the crossbar is used as a measurement. But when the puck goes off of a high stick to a friendly player the shoulder is used as a measurement.
And in this case, given that svechnikov is a rather tall guy, it isn't considered a high stick.
    At least so I think

  10. This is potentially the last Islanders game played at the Coliseum with a capacity crowd. I'm lucky enough to say I was there, and I got my first kiss at this game also, so make it extra special. I wish I could've said goodbye to the barn properly, but still, I'm glad I had the honor of being there.
