I honestly don't think the rangers can win the cup, having an amazing goalie is important but other than that they only have a few good or star players so I personally don't think they're going 5o make it past the second round.
Now, I say this as a Rangers fan. I can’t tell if this team is good or not. “43 wins and 16 ties” guarantees them at least 100 points. How far they get in the playoffs is totally dependent on if Shesterkin allows less than 3 goals per game. If he allows 2.9999999 goals per game, the Rangers are Eastern Conference Champions.
The Rangers are not the best team in the league, they’re the best at playing as a team. There is a difference.
I believe this year is a second round exit, but once our core group ages more into their prime AND the rookies will have had playoff experience I think it is a cup. 2-4 years, probably.

But on a side note they really showed who they can be tonight against the canes while loosing panarin and copp in the 2nd period, they didn’t just lay down playing 9 fowards and made a strong push late, fell a little short, but with a full healthy team(including kako coming back) feel like they can make a push, Sammy blias would be huge to have back right now would love him in the playoffs for them, will see how it plays out,
I think most rangers fans will be totally fine with 3rd round exit after not making playoffs for years. Still get to watch 3 rounds of playoff hockey which is 75% of playoffs
Love to see a realistic video on this Ranger team. They are fun, they are up and coming, but you are correct in saying the portion of the bandwagon fanbase just puts these unrealistic outcomes on this team and individual players for that matter – likely a 2nd rd exit although I pray otherwise!!
Vatrano was traded btw. He was on the Panthers 4th line for the most part of the season

I think you're putting the cart before the horse. Ever the realist; they will get smoked in the 1st round. 2 weeks into next season, youll see how LUCKY they were THIS season. All the disappointed band wagoneers will call for GG to be fired.

I agree with a lot of what you said, but from watching games after the deadline when all the regulars were healthy, this team had the puck almost the entire game and was just getting scoring chance after scoring chance. We were also capitalizing on a lot of those scoring chances. I also think that it will help that they don’t have as much pressure as other teams to win a cup right now and that can be a very dangerous thing in the playoffs.

I liked this video but you got a lot of things wrong, for example saying Lindgren and Miller haven’t been good or bad when i fact Lindgren has incredible defensive metrics and Miller has great defensive metrics and great offence metrics as well.
As a pens fan honestly I would not be surprised if we loose in 4. When shesterkin is hot my God hes great. Jarry broken foot hurts. If pens can get to 5/6 games then ok but i don't know. Pens need to shoot shoot and shoot again do not get into the pass pass pass to try and set up perfect shot. You may get 1 or 2 of those but with shesterkin nope. Shoot as much as possible doesn't have to be perfect. With good goalies pucks on net get the bounce that goes in.
I agree rangers are most likely not winning this year but it's not because of lack of talent it will be because of lack of experience and the young guys not playing at this level of play yet, they were just finding their groove Laffy and kakko and chytil but that's the regular season… second round or strong maybe 3rd round exit this year but next year is the Stanley cup
We also swept Tampa 3-0 and beat Florida 2-1 in the regular season the team I'm most worried about is carolina they always out play us even when we win 🤣
