I'd say send slaf back to Europe and develop over there and have him on the team next year
The injury prevention thing is valid for teams pretending to the Stanley Cup, which is not the situation that the Habs are in. Slafkovsky is just as likely to get injured playing in the World Juniors than in the NHL. Development-wise, I agree that it would probably be very good to make him play in the tournament.
I don't mind, but I would like NJD to send Nemec as well.
Playing 4th line minutes, I think Slafkovsky is doing well and improving as a player. He's only 18.
Slaf's needs to stay over here and get use to North American ice and game…. Wright should have been used to it already…he has no excuses except he takes too many shifts off. Sending Slaf's to World Jrs might not benefit him…but it will help Slovakia….really hard call..personally I feel Slaf's is the most NHL ready player in this draft.
