    I didn't know what to expect when the Jets brought in Bowness but I'm happily surprised. He's kind of an old school guy. Just what the Jets needed to whip their asses back into shape.

    Here is the main difference that I see between PoMo and Bones:

    When times got tough for the Winnipeg Jets, Paul Maurice had a tendency to internalize his thoughts and become tense, which was evident in the series against Vegas. You could see the tension in Maurice's face when things were bad.

    Bones on the other hand is always talking. I can't remember which game it was, but one of the bottom six had just scored a goal and Bones was in the ear of both Scheif and Dubois. Winnipeg had just scored a goal and the Jets were winning but Bones wasn't happy with something that he saw and he was actively coaching his two top centres. Wheels stated in an post-game interview that it is different having a coach that likes to talk.

    It is clear to me that the Winnipeg Jets desperately wanted to be coached because if they didn't and the locker room was as bad as people led us to believe that it was, Bones would not have been able to come in and fix the penalty kill so quickly. The main reason why they currently are in second place is because they have raised their penalty kill from 75% to 83.9% (3rd as of today) and are 5th in the league in goals against.

    Also, Josh Morrissey is playing out of his damn mind right now. Clearly he needed to work with a new coaching staff that would focus on his strengths. Only 23 games in and he's only 11 points behind last season's total. Amazing!
