Like the "hit" on Caulfield, Suzuki on Kardi was purely accidental.
Good game review DD. My add would be Slaf's brilliantly timed stick push on Kovacevic on the Calgary 2-on-nobody…may have saved a goal on that play. And just a little concern for me is the fact that although MSL is seemingly doing well with the development of the young guys, his attempts at trying to wake up the veterans has been a complete failure so far. As well as (correct me if you see differently) not a single veteran seems to be playing up to expectations under MSL. Now I realize this Habs team is all about the young guys so it bods well…but again, my concern is how MSL will be when he actually has to head coach and there is an expectation to win. Looking forward to seeing what this team looks like in about 3months time.
Great game except the Caufield hit. Loved when Arber had a hold of 2 Calgary players at the end of a scrum. He is a beauty. As Don would say.
Except Evans can’t score to save his life.
The better Jake prevailed.
Thank goodness that Caufield escaped serious injury and will be ok. Looks like he will even be in tomorrow's game.
Taking into account the players that are injured (Gallagher, Monahan, Drouin, Savard, Matheson..), I thought the team played really good. We rope-a-doped the Flames in the second, came back strong in the third and finished them in the shootout.
Something about this game review. Your most entertaining one yet
Pittlick on the SO ?????????????
About Anderson goal.
Edmonsson out muscles Stone to keep puck in .Slav absorbs hit by Stone and pivots to pass to Anderson.Anderson pinballs 2 Calgary Dmen to get to front of net for the goal .Moral of the story Size Matters .
This won't be the last time CC gets crushed unfortunately.
The Suzuki penalty was bs in my opinion . Enjoyed the outcome and Arber with a Flame in each hand was hilarious. Pezz dominated his fight and the fistbump from Arber was golden. Slav is showing some real growth too.
Slafkovsky is hilarious. He made a comment to the media the other day after they were asking him about the large amount of hit he took this season. I can't remember exactly what he said but is was something like, "I'll be ok. I have a big Eastern European head." lol
BTW, I think Evens deserves to play on a line with better players. This league doesn't pay for defensive players. Unfortunately, stats count and Evens is almost always given the worse ice time and the worst line mates. So it's nice to throw him a bone and get to play with better players. I assume the only reason Armia and Dadonov are getting so much undeserved ice time is because it's the only way to raise their stock and try and trade them. But for a fan who wants to see players score, it's frustrating. Armia get's so much PP time and can't do anything and Evens is playing on the penalty kill all the time. I haven't heard that Evens complains but in the end, it's his salary that is hit by how the Habs use him. The PP sucks. Armia sucks. Armia was on the 5 on 3 last game. I'm not trying to be a conspiracy theorist but connect the dots! lol
I don't know how this Suzuki-Kadri hit became controversial. Anyone with eyes can see Xhekaj pushed Kadri into Suzuki. All Suzuki did was brace for impact. It's a collision. It's hockey. every other game you see players on the same team run into each other. If there's any blame, you have to blame Xhekaj.
Looks like Caufield is going to be ok. He was cleared to go to Ottawa with the team. Thanks God!
Best game yet for Dach, he showed leadership. Suzuki was not even trying to hit Kadri, they ran into each other….no penalty.
PP looked better, but no finish.
LedZep is my band, how many more times! You are very right! Thank you for your view on all our Habs!
Right on dude
Suzuki is just on another level in the shoutout
Great job, Drew! Darn Habs won’t stop winning heheh!
Hrali jeden za všetkých a všetci za jedného,tvorí sa naozaj super tím do budúcnosti.👍👏🇸🇰🏒🤗🇨🇦 z odstupom času bolo dobré vybrať Juraja z prvého miesta?
those huge contracts will create big problems for many teams. This has to change. you will not be seeing 10+ mil for goalies anymore. In the new style of NHL hockey you now need 2 good golies cannot give 10 mil each. those days are over 5 mil each is enough and what is the use of paying a '' McDavid 12 mil and the other 14 mil when Edmondton does not have the salary cap to pay for players to blend with these high price players? Good super stars but how many first choice a team could get for a McDavid? this is suppose to be a TEAM game? The only way to ghet out of the endless trap of never ending rising contract is to think up a new way to the constracts. you get the bonesses when you produce what they pay you for.Good hockey players is much more that just scoring goals. You need them yess but not at any price that will cripple a team from hirering players to support those super stars. you got McDavid Drycycle and Nurse who eat up the salary cap.
