You guys are totally overreacting again. We knew this team was not good. Every team has game like that during a season and the Habs just had one. Big deal. There’s gonna be a lot more of those this season.
The Loss last night was relief. It showed that the team was relying so much on so few players. This is the result of having Drouin, Armia, Hoffman Dadenov given so much priority. This is the result of having a leader like Monahan injured and how important he was to this team. Relying so much on Suzuki Caufield and Dach will hurt in the long run. The team lacks depth, and have a need of good high draft picks or they will be a medicore team for a very very long time. It's important not to lose sight of that
I’m gunna be honest I’m not even mad let the tank begin!👏🏽👏🏽
Dont the Habs loose year after year, to bad teams?
second point if Slaf moves to the first line next year do we have a legitimate 2nd line . Dach ok but who is either wings or play center if Dach plays wings, i really do believe that the habs need above talent in the second line , especially that suzuki and caufield are amazing, they are not super stars. i do believe that they do need another winger on the top 6 . and altough Hudson is impressive , the habs would need another top 4 defense . and goal tending is not even adressed in the long run.
So i dont want to sound pesimistic but finishing lower in the standings is better overall this year. again dont finish lower helps with more then just the 1rst round? it helps for the rest of their own drafts picks as well? ie 2nd and later rounds. i know that some alternate but not sure how that works if alternate throughout all pics or just some.
sorry for the long comment and thank you for your work and passion.
I think any fan hates to see their team loose, especially a team that made it to the cup final 2 years ago.
I have been a Habs fan since the 70's and have seen alot of ups and downs. I don't think this team is that bad. A Few tweeks and they will get better.
Great Episode
So I say the tank has begun and hopefully the Sabres and Senators rise above the Habs
Let have Florida finish 28 and Habs finish 30 th
Would that not make for interesting ping pong ball rollet
Scott, I love you but I have to disagree with your assessment on Drou this game. He looked good. He looked like he was putting in effort, he was visible. Just because he had the (admittedly pretty bad) mistake in the dying minutes but it was a bouncing puck! And this team somehow always sucks with the net empty.
But the start of this podcast was literally the funniest thing I've ever heard lmao
I also fully agree with your last goal of the year answer being Suzuki. It seems like a big "captain steps up" type of moment
