REAVES/HRONEK HIT & DETROIT’S SEASON IN DANGER ft.

Thank You for mentioning the lack of response from Rasmussen & Erne. It's so frustrating to see Rasmussen play like a 5'8" 165lb guy. I think he needs a shot of testosterone…🤷

  2. Honestly the last week makes me think the spark we had for this team has went away. With injuries and a somewhat tough schedule, I am now curious if bedard will wear his 98 with us or switch it up! Kasper and bedard sounds nice

  3. I agree with what Brad said about Reaves hitting Hronek in the chest but you have to know that Reaves didn't want to hit him in the chest. He wanted to physically injure Hronek. That is his mentality. This guy is useless as a hockey. His sole purpose is destroy other hockey players. You saw him flex his bicep. That should tell you everything.

  4. It sucks cuz so many people are already injured. Not saying it was on purpose but if you wanted to take one of the only producers out of the Wings lineup that night Hronek would be near the top of that list. The craziest thing to me is seeing everyone take Reaves side, I guess people are starved for hits, cuz all I remember in the Kronwall era was people saying he was "leaving his feet" constantly. Now we have everyone on TNT saying it's Fil's fault and he didn't hit the head, meanwhile Hronek is bleeding from where his shield cut his face… if the Wings were actually good it would be an easier pill to swallow but constantly being injured and bad and having everyone pile on gets tiresome. As I expected I agree with Brad on his analysis of the hit, even if it was "clean" it's unnecessary, especially against a depleted team. The amount of Wings fans standing up for Reaves is pathetic honestly, it could be the cleanest hit in the world and you should not be defending it, stand up for your team.

  5. Reaves is a veteran and one of the best in his field, if not the best at it currently. He knew what he was doing, he had Hronek lined up perfectly for a devastating check, decided to cut down his left shoulder, then proceeds to explode that shoulder/arm upwards right before contact WHILE pushing with his back foot. This was ABSOLUTELY a targeted hit, and was so close to being clean, that the refs didn't even want to call it a 5 then review it later on (like the mackinnon check from last season).

While i don't agree with what he did, Hronek is absolutely to blame for a big part of this check as well, I truly believe Reaves could've landed just a good of a check without that extra explosion at the end. These hits need to be taken out of the game, Reaves DECIDED to land a very dirty blow instead of keeping his trajectory and simply laying one of the cleanest, most brutal hits of the season. He had Hronek dead to rights either way, and he CHOSE to go about it the most violent way possible.

  6. SHL has banned all contact to the head. Works just fine and results in significantly less head injury.

  7. 1 hrs 26 min podcast is way to long. Remember, you are discussing Red wings hockey every time and not like Joe Rogan having different guest and topics in each episode. Keep it to the point and skip repeating your self.

  8. Feels weird to see Brad sitting on the left side of the table. Ryan was sitting in his spot.. Haha

  9. I was more angry with how Reaves acted after the Chiarot "fight", showboating and his comments after the game were stupid. Dude can't even hit an empty net.

  10. This rule to PROTECT ANY PLAYER WITH HEAD SHOTS HAVE TO BE CHANGED FAST, for 2 reasons, the 1st is to protect a players carrier, but most importantly is a players LIFE. I doesnt take much to break a players neck and there dead! This is a game, as much i like big hits its not worth these risks, no matter who it is. What has to happen to get this changed? A player die? That is ridiculous, unnecessary, a not excuse for that. The players association and the GM'S have to put this to Toronto and not let up. If it takes a players strike then so be it. ITS WORTH IT TO ME

  11. Reaves doesn’t have the hockey IQ to recognize Hronek is like that. And respect? He’s a clown show brought out there specifically to hurt people. He’s a 4th line AHL player at best put in the NHL for a reason.

  12. The " Big man's league" argument negates one of the most important concepts in sports, which is sportsmanship.

  13. I agree with most of what Brad is saying, especially the bar analogy, but to me it looked like Reeves was clearly hitting Hronek with the intent to injure and because of the upward motion of the hit i would argue that at minimum the intentional PPoC was the head. Which is why there should have been a suspension.

  14. 100% agree with Brad on the response to the hit. You hurt one of our top D, we are going after your top guys now. All is fair, you shouldnt feel bad about saying that
Also I dont get why so many people are scared of Reeves. Dude is only 6'1 225. Man i wish one of our tall guys has a mean streak and knows how to fight along with the skill.
    They would be so dominant.
