Dare to dream…Jesse and Campbell out. Gibson in! He’s 2 years overdue already. This clears the deck for Skinner moving forward while providing an awesome safety net this year. Gonna need the cap for Bouch and Leon anyways. Going 5 years on a goalie was beyond stupid.
Math wise The Ducks would either have to retain on Klingberg (not likely) OR the trade is more complex in one way or another (either another team takes some cap OR more assets go to the Ducks to compensate (say Barrie and JP which actually would give us a bit of cap). My big worry is "sweetener". Just hoping Uncle Kenny doesn't give away things if he doesn't have to. Great vid as always. Take care all. Anyone else look at Klingberg’s numbers he’s currently second last out of all dmen in defensive goals above replacement and leads the Ducks with a -16 this is coming off a down yr in Dallas where he could only get a 1 yr deal on a bad Ducks team screams RED FLAGS, if the Oil try to acquire him after turning a blind eye on Campbell brutal analytics as Campbell was 95th out of 118 goalies with a -7.96 in GSAx this team isn’t winning any cups and we’ll see both Leon and Connor leave. Analytics aren’t the all to be end all but they sure paint a picture in the case of Campbell and Klingberg
I'm seeing Puljujarvi and Barrie going to Anaheim with Klingberg and maybe another coming the other way with some salary retention and a 2nd – 3rd round draft pick in the mix. I would not be shocked if Nurse is dealt away before the deadline retaining 50% of his salary as well as i doubt anyone will pick him up at full cost with the way he's playing but that will most likely done after the season. Nurse has not been performing as well as Kulak has at half Nurse's salary.
