Man the boys have really turned it around, now they need to continue to build off this solid December and .when Willy Oshie and Backy return maybe this team has something special for us come springtime. Going into December I was just hoping we could stay afloat and keep within touch of the wildcards but December isn’t even over and now we are in the wildcard spot and only within a few points of the top of the division. Way to go boys keep on grinding.
Ovi is such a natural goal scorer that he shot that puck without looking and it went dead center. You could tell he didn't want an empty netter for the 802, but he got it and now it's time to look forward. 93 to go.
So happy for Ovi!! It took him a little while to go from 800 to 801 but glad he finally got it….and then quickly on to 802 for sole possession of the 2nd spot! Only one more guy to pass now!
I'm from exUSSR republic so I'm a fan of Ovi of course but in this game I wasn't only glad with his 802. Lindgren was on fire! It's so disappointing he didn't get his deserved shotout((. Btw when Kuzi got back puck to Ovi I thought:Ok, no 802 today cause Ovi was with 2 players around him and he was standing with his spine to the 🥅 facing the… uhm "wall"(forgot how it would be in English this 1m wall around the ice😁),…but suddenly puck is in the net😲🤔. For a second I thought that he shot a tweener like in tennis. On the replay saw it, & it wasn't between the legs but still he literally wasn't looking at the 🥅 when the puck was leaving his stick, he turned around while it was already sliding on ice to goal)) Great game in all aspects. If goalie will be playing like this for the rest of the games, Capitals will be through straight to playoffs!
in that jersey, in ccm gear again, you can tell he didn't want to pass with a empty.. just a blast from the past, made this very special. when he passes the great, i hope he has his chromed out visor on that he loved so dearly.
I've seen them all: Howe, Esposito, all the Hulls, Dionne, Gretzky, Lemieux, but by any rational assessment, Ovechkin is the greatest goal scorer in hockey history. Congratulations!
