LMFAO People need to stop taking Sportsnet so seriously, Bo Horvat isn't getting traded to a Non-Playoff team like Montreal. Carolina, Boston and Detroit were the other teams mentioned. he has a far greater chance of going to one of those 3 teams than going to Montreal where there's absolutely no way he'd sign there long term with a rock bottom team.

If we acquire Savard. Myers is on his way out on a separate trade. Creating cap space. It makes no sense otherwise. I’d only do it for MTL 1st, not FLA. They can protect it in a Bedard clause. Beck is a prospect, but it’s only part of the trade.
If they throw in 10 first round draft picks I would do it.

The team that pays for the aberrant contract-year season of Horvat is the next Blackhawks. Anything more than a rental price is too much
This is a trade habs former GM would have made. This deal would be completely contradictory to the habs attempt to rebuild for the future. to give up a great prospect for a few years of an older star is not worth it. the first round pick makes it absurd. on the vancouver side, to trade a loved star in the middle of a playoff race would kill the chemistry and possibly the morale of the team as a whole. also a completely useless trade at this time.
Why don't they throw in Caufield while they're at it? Who ever proposed this is a canucks fan and play too much NHL 23. Horvat will be UFA, will ask for way too much money and does not fit in Habs rebuild at all especially if you have to give all that is mentioned.
I don’t see them trading Bo until the trade deadline and only then if they aren’t in the playoffs. I think they still want to push for a spot and really, I think they will want to keep him and trade someone else. “It’s hard to trade your best player” was a quote from the off-season about Miller, I could see them saying “it’s hard to trade your best goal scorer and captain” about Bo too. Even if it’s the wrong move.
Only way I see Montreal trading for Horvat is if there is a guarantee he will resign also Habs have Caufield contract for next year that will be a big increase most likely Caufield is most likley getting near the 7.5 million – 8 million price with Hovat wanting near the same price I just don't see it. Also I have a hard time seeing Montreal giving up Beck
