Didn’t the Oilers just get fined for tampering with Campbell? I know that they are different players but I feel like the Toronto players would be mad that they stole their goalie through tampering.
Imagine this happens and then Edmonton wins the Cup or knocks Toronto out of playoffs with Campbell and Bunting on their team. Seems like a fitting circumstance for the Leafs and their luck.

This is a joke, Edmonton can barely afford to re-sign Puljujarvi and Yamamoto without talking about moving players like Barrie and Foegele. How are they going to afford to sign another 5.5 million dollar player for long term without completely gutting your team depth?

Bunting is a good forechecker, who’s got great chemistry with Marner and Matthews. Also clearly wants to play in Toronto, and will probably take another discount.
