  1. I hope Copley holds the fort and be a rocksteady long term. Gibson has a somewhat playoff pedigree, but rooting for Pheonix not only have risen, but be stalwart in goalie.

  2. Don't think King's would be in on Gibson. $6.4 & 5 years with numbers not better than Cal. He could rebound, but that is too much risk.

  3. As a Canucks fan, I’m sure that the GM’s have a collective pact to screw the Canucks…and I don’t blame them 😂

  4. It bugs me so much when people just talk out of their a$$. Larkin has a No Trade Clause. Seravalli should be ashamed to refer to himself as a reporter. I mean, all it takes is 10 seconds to go check out capfriendly and see that Larkin has a NTC. He's not going anywhere. Yzerman named him Captain for a reason. It's all about coming to an acceptable dollar figure.

  5. Dam every day with leafs rumours just wish dubas would make a couple trades so we all don’t have to hear anymore

  6. I can see Yzerman not agreeing to terms before the deadline and allowing Larkin to become a free agent. Then, since Yzerman didn't ship him out of town, the only way Larking leaves is for more money. The likelihood is that Steve Y gets close enough to the other offers that a deal is made. But to walk a way as a local & home-grown Captain of a an 'original six' franchise about to compete for a cup next year, for another million, would not make sense unless he really wants to leave.

  7. People don’t listen he said on this day in 84 all three brothers scored. If your talking about brother combination the sutters had six brothers playing

  8. The Red Wings were a team that held the record for consecutive playoff runs if memory serves. They certainly had a real league talent for picking out late round draft players who always seemed to be franchise type players!

At 60 (sheeeit, did I just say…60?) at 60 I look back fondly at absolutely classic Leaf/Wings battles that you just don't get anymore since the league introduced the cap system. Prior to that, teams could load their rosters with the absolute best of the best and you can see how the cap has really caused some negative changes in that aspect of the game – you just don't get those exciting battles like we used to!!

The cap has also changed the way the game is played, as the wealthier teams were forced to change tactics and strategies due to the fact that team stacking was no longer possible, and once the cap had the desired effect, scoring dropped off noticeably, so much so that the league took away the red line/two line pass which resulted in more breakaways and that had an effect where teams began to focus on speed more so than prior to the cap.

Teams began to put much more emphasis on strong two way players also, and of course this affected the draft and that is what I believe ended up having an effect on teams such as Detroit which took a while before the scouts were able to adjust to all the new elements of the game forced team's scouts stop focusing on specific types of players from the pre-draft era to post draft. It did take time for teams to figure this out.

In my opinion, I think the cap has been a negative force in the NHL having age and experiencing many years pre draft hockey, I am better suited to comprehend the changes whereas millennials do not have this perspective which comes with hindsight.

In my way of thinking, if you decide to put an NHL ICE HOCKEY TEAM in the desert, and your team can't compete with sales of the traditional cities teams, then it's a case of Darwinian evolution the strongest and fittest survive at the expense of the weaker slothenits!! ")

How would owners feel if their personal wealth were capped and any profit above the cap went straight to, for example, season ticket holder fans to offset the outrageous cost of a seat in any arena in this league…well, not ALL but the vast majority of even nosebleed tickets which a fan has to surrender their first born just to be eligible to be fleeced!!

When cities such as Quebec or Hamilton Ontario are "praying ana beggun" for a team, and Bartman (D'OH!!) ignores those strong candidate cities for 'another desert team', which is an ironic, facetious term for "non traditional NHL cities" we are forced to acknowledge the business side of the league which fans tend to not be very fond of!!

Anyway, just an old sumbitch throwing out, spittin my rhymes and trufe related to the game smothering cap!!

ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO FROM THE MOST SENSIBLE sensible hockey trade rumor channel along side a very few others such as "downtown Steven Brown" and "Andrew Pelic" hockey, also great reasonable channels as this channel is!!

Thank you for the info Top Shelf Dude! You gotta drop your name now and then, your adoring fans, and fans like me ") feel more personalised when we know who we're addressing!!

  9. I have Debrusk in Fantasy hockey should I drop him. Sorry off topic.

I've been saying it for Years and no one here in Detroit believes me.
The Homer's got to act like homers.

I'm not saying Detroit needs to trade Larkin I don't want them to trade Larkin and he's done an exceptional job but hes a number 2 center and Performing android belief and difficult situation.
It's a nice story that is a local boy and planet Michigan.
But I just can't buy this heart and soul of a franchise nonsense.
I would never overpay like Ken Holland did for a decade.
I would prepare myself to aggressively enter the Austin Matthews sweepstakes when he leaves Toronto at the end of this contract.
I fully trust Yzerman to get maximum value IF Larkin got dealt.
I fully believe that Karen Holland has it in him to make one more bad deal and overpay as he did in the past..
The red wings could put together one attractive packageIn a trade with Edmonton for Leon Draisatl.
That is if Edmonton doesn't move forward and he wants to move.

    KEEP LARKIN YES
Don't overpay like TML w Tavares
Move and get a bundle if contract

  10. Thanks TSH awesome video.
As lifelong Wings fan since 1969, here in Detroit, I've been trying to tell the red wing homers that a deal is definitely possible for Dylan Larkin
they just don't want to believe it COULD happen. all emotion no critical thinking.
As I said below wings don't need to trade them I'd like to keep him he is a very nice guy it's not a great job in a tough situation.
I would never give him more than 4 to 6 years and maybe 7 million but not more.
He is looking for hoping 8-10 years and thinks he's worth 9-10 million. No way.

  11. Stop posting BS by Frank Seravalli, Yzerman isn't trading Larkin. If Yzerman was willing to let Steven Stamkos walk for nothing he'll do the same with Dylan Larkin. Plus Yzerman has stated numerous times that he has up to June 30th to sign Larkin. That doesn't sound like a GM that's willing to move his Captain at the trade deadline.

  12. have you completely forgotten about the 3 Staals brothers? they even played in the same game last week lol
