  1. I know during the development camp.. he claimed he wants his diploma and wants to sign… but with only a few months later being UFA… bad feeling. Portillo is slightly different, as he has another year before he graduates and becomes a UFA.

  2. If he hasnt signed by the trade deadline then package him with a draft pick and Bryson and try and get a veteran D man like Gavikov from Columbus . Yes the price for a d man goes up on trade deadline day but Gavikov from Columbus would be worth it .

  3. GMKA only wants players that want to be in buffalo. That's why this turnaround is going in the right direction. Move him & EP

  4. Adams along with his scouting department have been prepared for potential trades . I believe they will remain true to form , be patient and will maximize any trade scenario for Johnson if he chooses not to sign.

  5. Wayne , how many puck moving defenseman do you need? The Sabres don’t need him , they need a totally different type of defenseman. As far as Portillo ,you can only play two goalies , UPL, Levi , Comrie ? The Sabres have lots talent , don’t need guys that don’t want to be here !

  6. I agree 100 percent if he doesn't want to be here good riddance we will move forward with better players than them💪🦬🏒

  7. I hope he signs and makes this team. I also hope Kisakov makes an impact on the Sabres too. People forget, it’s not just Tage Thompson Buffalo got in the O’Reilly trade. Kisakov and Johnson are the last two pieces that could make that trade even better.

  8. I haven’t seen any predict it yet but Tage Thompson is going to win the hardest shot competition at the allstar game. I think he could hit north of 103 mph.

  9. He is definitely small enough to be a Sabre.

I read a quote (I am summarizing) from Ryan Johnson where he said his skating skill helps him to avoid contact.

    Not exactly Jim Schoenfeld eh?

  10. The Sabres need to start trading some “maybe” talent for some “for sure” talent. Ryan Johnson, Portillo, Middlestadt, even maybe some other people: Victor Olofsson, trade these guys that don’t fit. For Chychrun, or another piece that will actually be here for the foreseeable future.

  11. I agree, I feel he is holding out so he can sign elsewhere. If they wanted to play in Buffalo he would have signed like all the picks we drafted this past draft.

  12. I'm sorry, some of these college kids, how is this a rule!? It makes me nuts…
    Am I alone!?

  13. Johnson doesn't want to play for Buffalo. he's a California kid who most likely wants to go west
