Hey 49ers, and the Eagles they will be surprised the Eagles will win this game.
Eagles Defense against the run is 21st in the league. This is why Washington beat them. San Francisco defense is best in the league against the run. 49er run game is top notch. All Purdy needs to do is hand the ball off.
I can't see Purdy performing to standard against this Eagles defence.
Hold up! Okay, if Purdy doesn’t mentally show up, Shanahan will go 2019 NFCCG vs Green Bay style and just run the ball down the Eagles below average (#21 Defensive Rush DVOA) and not give two fks about their #1 pass rush. Just totally bypass the pass. Force them to put 6 in the box and then boom, hit them with play action Kittle over the middle, or Jennings, Aiyuk or Samuel. Niners are coming in run heavy, they want to control the clock and slow the game down. It will be annoying. This won’t be a shoot out. If the run game doesn’t work, Eagles win by 20, easily. Eagles will eat on offense. This game is dependent on how well the Niners run, keep the ball out of that freak Jalen Burts hands and feet! Jalen will get his 250 3tds. Again, how will the Niners run the ball? Because passing will get shut down vs the #1 pass Eagles, no doubt, if there is no run threat. Fascinating match up. Pay attention to the Niners run game.
Gannon did a great coaching job in defense THIS GAME. I think he got a lot of flack previously because with people like Cox, Graham, Sweat, Slay, Riddick, Bradbury, Hargrave, in some games, there appeared to be a wide cushionny loose secondary that allowed points on the board without any apparent stop. Johnson's defense was "Move to the ball"—couldn't Gannon subscribe to that defense. . It' was one one of the best defenses in the history of the franchise. Go BIRDS!!
Run game against the niners is going to be none existent!

eagles have great secondary but are 21st against run. niners are very balanced run/ pass team. eagles are good against 1 primary receivers but in the 20s out of 32 against the 3 and 4 fecievers

Giants fan, so obviously a little biased, but watching the pure arrogance of the eagles attitudes for years, it’s hard to like them. Vick was inexcusable. Entire team may as well be a probation facility. It isn’t even a love to hate team. They embody everything that makes people dislike the arrogant athlete. Watson was born to be an eagle. We knew all year this should've been the Main Matchup. 49ers held to 19pts by Dallas vs what we put up on Dallas. Plus we had that Dallas d-line begging for oxygen against our Ginshew-led offense. 49ers & Purdy got something coming.
