Brock almost certainly going to just be given away for nothing at this point.
Does everyone forget Pittsburg also drafted Crosby malkin Letang and fleury! They tanked to get all those picks stop giving Rutherford credit for winning back to back cups, he was literally handed generational talent but now won't do the same in Vancouver jim should be thanking Craig Patrick for those two cups
not gonna teach those two old D dawgs new tricks im hoping foot/gaunchar are for new young willing to learn guys
so tired of no new topics other than miller, Horvat, and Kuzmenko trade talk for 2 years, this signing means only 2 things to discuss every single day over and over hahahaha
Pettersson isnt staying because Kuzmenko is signed
Cap flexibility doesn't cone at Kuzmenko s expense.
What is the weather I. Saniich?
Paterson does know that they‘re shedding a couple wingers, doesn‘t he?
It is strange that Myers and OEL are the oldest and have the most experience, Yet these two vets panic like rookies and often give the puck away instead of a simple play off the boards. Can they not teach these old dogs old tricks?
Was already known that Horvat had priced himself out, so I‘m a little surprised at the outrage. What is this, victim of the week?
Love this deal and love this player. Keeping him is the best news all season.
as far as I am concerned, I don't want them to win another game this year. Bring on Berard!!!!
I do not mind the team drawing a line in the sand with Horvat. He's not the best player on this team… probably outside of the top 5. He can't be paid like a top player. He's worth 6.25M per max. They better grab a haul moving him.
So now we have reached the stage where we collectively blaim the players. They suddenly turned soft. The soap continues with a new director and I have parked myself on the first row together with the rest of the fans. Time to relax and enjoy the next chapter of the show.
I guess you don’t know the plan, Jeff. Don’t be embarrassed not to know.
Kuzmenko has played 362 regular season games in the last nine years. There’s nothing to stop him being traded. He can play. He works well with Pettersson. It’s a win whether the Canucks want to keep the player or whether they decide to move him.
If we can bring Bedard home, it would basically solve all the Canucks' problems: You can let Horvat chase his money elsewhere, you get a franchise player on EL money(you have cap space), and the Acquilini's can sell infinite Bedard jerseys and/or tickets… it's a win for everyone…
Ok, I criticized the grunge ball cap and flannel look but this Johnny Brasco da boss says “ya got til Friday or else” look isn’t much better. Forgettaboutit!
Not convinced Bo is gone. Boeser yes. That gets you closer to Bo. Garland maybe. That gets you closer to Bo. Myers yes. That gets you closer to Bo. Schen yes. Bo stays.
good job to resign Kuzmenko at realistic numbers—-this player compliments Petterson in that he is a very gifted finisher–plays smart opportunistic style and is one of the best in close scorers Canucks have had to date.Valuable player.
The goalies suck. Not complicated guys. The D can't play normal because they know every second shot goes in. They can't play normal. The goalies are so bad they have no confidence, thus they chase rather than rely on a safe and play sound defense.
Bo hasn’t been left out to dry. He wants more money than he’s worth. If he truly wanted to stay he would have taken the last offer (which apparently was the same as Millers).
Trade BO for draft picks lets get 1st rounders no more projects. Kuz contract makes some sense and 5.5 is likely tradeable later if needed. No more Country Clubbers trade all these Soft players.
as far as i'm concerned, alvin is benning 2.0. nothing has changed. we have the same team as yesterday, it's just costing more.
Vancouver media is the worst. A good player signed for a good price admitted by them. But you want to talk about Horvat being squeezed out. Like the team is treating him unfairly. He is asking for money based off one contract year that he started hot. He has cooled off to his normal pace recently. This team would be foolish to pay Horvat 8.5 + to keep him. Talk about cap management like they messed up paying 5.5 because they aren't paying over 8 for a guy who's holding out over one outlying year.
Ridiculous.
I don't have anything against Kuzey, it's a good number for him, but it's an absolute dogshit signing for this team at this time. We could have gotten a first-rounder for him.
Super glad they signed Kuzmenko for good money and short term. As for Bedard, the Hawks or the Ducks will win the lottery, and the Canuck's will drop by at least 5 spots. Bo goes to Boston for a psychologically broken prospect (who will fade away in Abbottsford), an expiring contract (so the Nucks have cap space next year and so Boston can sign Horvat long term), and 2 Second rounders, to really rub in the salt. Blood is in the water for anyone bidding for Bo, and the Nucks are not in the driver's seat. They are desperate for draft picks and they will lose him in FA for nothing to anyone with patience and deep pockets.
