I actually got the offside review, because the winning team got a million dollars. The goals mattered. What bothered me more about AllStar weekend was…everything! It was the worst AllStar games I have ever watched. I actually said what you commented, it was hours of my life I can't get back. Yikes, it was so bad.
The only way it would have been somewhat funny is if he got the ref to make the announcement then immediately say he was just joking or something. Putting everyone through an offside challenge in a game that no one cares about isn't funny in any way

So you take that away which would have resulted in a hat trick and a donation, take away Peterson’s final goal he will score with his former captain, and actually review a call like that seriously in an all star game? I would have been fine with it if they came back and announced “After review the play was determined to be offside, but this is an all star game so who cares it looked pretty. Good goal!” But taking it away seriously is just pathetic.
Just do away with the whole thing. It's not entertaining.

I headed over to Hulu and watched 24 for the 10th time.
The AHL skills competition is more entertaining than the NHL skills competition. At least they are trying right now.

One of the reasons the NHL does the All Star Game is to put on some entertainment, wining and dining for their big sponsors. The problem is many of them are gambling company executives. So now we have the scenario where the refs and players are hobnobbing with gambling executives. Think the refereeing was bad before, wait till the gambling money starts to flow.

I think it's a bit of an exaggeration to put all caps "NEXT-LEVEL Embarrassing" in the title after clicking on the video and seeing what the fuss was about. Probably for clickbait reasons but anyway, rules are rules. I don't get how this is embarrassing, they are playing for a $1 million prize. As much as the All-Star game should be for fun, sometimes it feels like a waste of time when players aren't putting in the effort, especially to avoid injury.
I didn't watch much but I saw a penalty called that I was wondering if it was an intentional joke on the ref's part. Some boring crap for sure.

Bettman took an NHL 3rd in national viewership(Gretsky in LA,disney ducks) and rising; then procceeded to fuck with the game. He got owners $ through tv deals but a history of glowing pucks and firtue signaling and game "mananging" refs have dropped it lower than nascar. Look at the NBA before and after they fired Bettman.

I live in 🇨🇦 and haven't watched NHL in 3 years the officiating is the worst out of all sports in my opinion maybe when they get Bettman out of there it will be entertaining again
