Some kid is trying to save his job. That’s a Jim Benning move right there. Toronto needs depth on defense. They would have been better off even if they got Luke Schenn for a 3rd round pick.

It cost less than Meier. They got Acciari too. They brought in a leader and Stanley cup winner who’s one of the best 2 way centres in the league
Great move by the Leafs. ROR is a stud and a great leader a champion on the blues and this is coming from a Hawks fan. I wish the Leafs the best. You guys got the talent that depth hopefully they can put it all together now. Time is now

I have no idea why no teams are sniffing around trying to pluck Karl Vejmelka out of Arizona. If I was Edmonton I would be trying my hardest to get him and send campbell back the other way even if I had to pay more picks for or prospects for it. Skinner–Vejmelka tandem would be great. If I'm colorado this summer I'm making a play for vejmelka to come in and back up gergiev if Frankie can't stay healthy for more than a month at a time seemingly.

We didn't need a forward. We have plenty. The reason we lacked the scoring was nobody was there to protect them and make them feel confident and safe. We need an enforcer and 2 big heavy hitting puck shooting blueliners. We could have saved picks.
Still need physical defenseman with hard point shot for playoffs. Nobody wants their beer league players. Take a chance and pull the trigger on a big deal. Tavaras and Robertson for Eric Karlsson for example then make O ' Reilly captain. Sounds a little out there, I know, but they'd have a better playoff team
