It would be a very bad move for the Blues! They need many more pieces to be a contender again. They need to draft well and get rid of dead weight in their lineup!

It's hard for the Blues to go full rebuild. No way to get rid of the 3 defenseman making 6.5m each unless they want out. Can't move Binnington. They have to retool at this point. If their retooling doesn't work, their true rebuild will begin probably around 2025.
As much as a beautiful pipe dream of a top 6 of O'Reilly, Meier, Saad, Thomas, Buch, and Kryou would be; a LOT would have to go right for that.
