@Kings de Los Angeles

#nhl #losangeleskings #lakings #tradedeadline

  1. No doubt about it, he was done dirty….Quick will always be KING !!! Only GOD saves more than Quick

  2. It’s not just this move, though. Rob Blake has been horrendous as a GM.

  3. Sure ……They are "Human Beings" But at the end of the day there just like a pallet of laundry soap, or a new box truck that the "Company" needs to sell for prophet …….

  4. JQ doesn't have long left in the league…to probably retire with a team that really has no chance to win anything this year. Sucks for Quick.

  5. FIRE BLAKE FOR DOING THIS TO A LEGEND. QUICK DESERVED FAR BETTER TREATMENT. THIS IS JUST TOO DIRTY AND VERY DISRESPECTFUL.

  6. To be fair, I’m sure Rob and Jarmo had the very clear conversation that Jarmo was going to find him a place to go that wasn’t staying in Columbus. Kekalainen is a fantastic GM. He’s extremely honorable. He wasn’t about to let Quick end his career on the worst team in the league. Plus, (I’m a Jackets fan) we’re not trying to win. I’m so glad we gave him a better opportunity in Vegas. Credit to Jarmo for standing by his word.

  7. Well he went from one team that fid Jim dirty to the worst team in Vegas that treats their players poorly I'd just retire if I were him

  8. Boo hoo poor baby rich man got his feelings hurt he must be a liberal Grow a pair

  9. Quick has always been a whiney baby, you are a pro athlete making millions. Go finish your year in Columbus and shut up, you are a UFA and can sign anywhere you want next year. Its a few weeks, act like a man and a professional

  10. I don't mind the trade but OF HOW THEY DID IT IS A LITTLE UNPROFESSIONAL, like they didn't even bother to even tell Quick he was being traded like tell him before you do it or otherwise your gonna be hated for that as a manager I get that he wasn't having good year but tell him first before you trade him atleast 😑😑😑

  11. Not an L.A. "Burger" Kings fan (sorry, that stupid alt logo sticks in my mind's eye) but they could have handled this better with Quick… I did like catching games with him in net. Such a good goalie to watch. Gonna miss seeing him in a Kings jersey. He deserved a better send off. It seems that team management just don't care anymore about how to dispatch players in transactions. I don't buy that line about "It's a business" as an excuse for handling departures the right way for those that justify it…But, it's a business! 🙄

  12. I love how the blue jackets turned around and gave him right to the kings biggest competition. Serves them right for trading one of their best and oldest players to the worst team in the league with no warning to him.

  13. Quick did the LA Kings dirty by being the worst goaltender in the league.

  14. I hate whiny fan commentary related to facts of life….players decline while their salaries stifle a teams ability to function, so they get traded. Although your feelings are hurt, I suggest you get over it and stop whining. The team, if not better, is no worse for it.

  15. That sucks for closer. Sure, Quick might be ok with it in another 10 years but that sucks when you give your heart and soul to something and then you get tossed out with the bathwater. As someone who likes to finish what they start, this sucks to see. I feel for him.

  16. And he’s in Vegas. A division rival. Good job Blake. That’s Martinez, and Quick. Former Kings ending up in VGK. Blake is a truly idiotic GM.

  17. I was very shocked, but it's possible the management knew Columbus was planning on flipping Quick to another contender.

  18. Nobody has no idea how this trade came together.
It's a business decision at the end of the day.
Quickie will have his statue outside crypto and #32 retired.

  19. Out of respect you ask the veteran player who he wants to go to. You don’t just send him to a bottom feeder to close out his career. It is a business but you it’s also a small community and if players see how you treat a 16 year vet it may be a deciding factor in going there or not.

  20. It sucked, but here is the thing, when the Kings get to the playoffs they needed to have a clear #1, with Quick still on the team that isn't possible.

  21. I know this is old news but si6we're talking dick moves…. Mike yeo benching Keith yandle. It's up there in the top 10. It was just another Philly hockey disappointment to add to the list.

  22. fans are not in this “business”make zero money from it. so hate hearing that lame line trying to justify maneuvers that hurt players and fans.

  23. Should've just let him retire a King he was on the end of his career on the last year of his contract kinda fucked up considering Blake played with him at the beginning of his career

  24. Why the fuck is our management so terrible at this? Ripping the C from Brownie… Trading Quick… I think driving in LA traffic actually destroys your brain and causes this behavior. wtf

  25. Never followed the Kings but I know he was solid when he went against my Blackhawks years ago. My reaction initially was WTF that they sent him to Columbus but I’m glad he got traded again to Vegas and at least has a shot in the playoffs. He deserves that much. I think he’ll be a good fit.

  26. I mean he’s helping the team he loves get better, if he, or the rest of the team realizes yet, that’s a different story.
