As a Flyer fan, (which is very hard to be this year lol) I have been just amazed with Connor. He does things that just blows everyone’s minds. He is such a pleasure to watch with that amazing speed and he is always thinking 30 seconds above all the other players. I agree , he needs help so this epic season of his is not wasted. Hopefully Oilers management can pull the trigger on a decent addition. Our GM should have been fired a LONG time ago. Hoping to see Connor hoist a cup soon!
I thought seeing Malkin, Crosby and ovie at the same time was pretty cool. Now granted their at the ends of their careers, but see them as well as Mathews, McDavid and draistaitl is nuts to think about
Why do I see McDavid ending up as another Patrick Roy event? (If you don’t know what I’m talking about, look into how the Habs treated Roy before he went to the Avs.)
I say he finishes with 59 goals. His pace slows down as the pressure increases late in the season. But 59 goals will win him the rocket and finishes with most points.
McDavid benefits from Drai in the same way Drai benefits from him. I'm not even a Drai fan even if he's German but people sometimes seem to forget that.

Most talented player??? Whoa! He's not even the most talented Oiler to lace'em up! He plays in an era where there is next to no hitting, and goalies have only one move, drop to their knees and hold up their glove. 90% of goals go in over the shoulder, stick side. Watch some Bobby Orr highlights if you want to see most talented. That guy would get the puck and hold on to it as long as he wanted. He won 2 scoring titles while being a defensemen and a excellent defensive defensemen at that. He could hit and fight. If Orr played in this non-contact league we have today he would score 2 or 300 hundred points. Nothing against McDavid, he's a great player but most talented? COME ON!!!
Good thing he doesn't have a decent team around him. These numbers are too important to fans it seems to see the oilers actually achieve anything today.
God I would love to see him switching to a contending team if he doesn't win a cup with the Oilers. A small paycut and a jump to the Avs/Canes/Bolts/etc would be a guaranteed dynasty

Hey that's what happens when Edmonton got the 1st pick for 10 years in a row. Wouldn't want to play on his team either. It's all about him. If you hear about Edmonton you're not hearing about the team just one player. Players don't like that stuff. McDavid isn't doing everything to get to those 50 goals
It made not look like it, but his own play puts more pressure on him than that whole team. Added the pressure playing with the best player ever, puts enormous pressure on the goalies. So I would like to see more oilers actually speaking up instead of McDavid and Leo. The lacking of leadership and confidence is destroying this team & the oilers Head coach is doing jack all to analyze the core problem. Yet Holland may not understand it fully since he's more focused on salary implications.
