Gonna miss Rick calling those Sabres games.
I cried the whole ceremony, during the intermissions and at the end when they brought him out to the ice and took pics with him and making him the 1st Star. So many memories came back to me from my first memory of the May Day goal to this game and it pains me if he never got a chance to call us as Stanley Cup champs, hopefully we can get there soon enough that he can be there for it and hopefully call it. Thank you RJ for everything you have done for me, my family and the rest of us fans, you will never know how many lives you have changed but I hope you got a glimpse of it tonight. Thank you again!
Long time Thrasher/Panther fan here and just a hockey fan period. This man has been there the entire time I've been a fan of the game. And although I'm not a Sabres fan he sure as hell was a good reason to become one. What an icon.
