  1. I hope Alex goes to free agency, signs a sweetheart 1 year deal for league minimum, and absolutely lights it up somewhere other than Pittsburgh, scoring 30+ goals. This guy never got a chance here, and will never get a chance here. With such a depleted prospect pool we refuse to even utilize the ones we have.

  2. DK: spot on re: Jeff Carter, nice guy, but the legs and puck handling skills clearly have diminished and he is no longer a player who gives the Pens a better chance to win–should be a healthy scratch.

  3. The channel where Pens fans go to die… the "boos" start here.
I hope our legends can enjoy their twilight years in Pittsburgh and not feel bad because of crappy fans. Who are we, Philly?

  4. What is screwy is the pens have dominated the isles all year just to blow a third period lead on weird goals. And I'm keeping with carter for now because he is trending better the last few games with a goal and 2 assists in last 5 games and a plus one for what that is. as the season gets near the end he seems to be climbing in intensity a bit and has rings to prove he can do it in the playoffs. It would be much better for us to have Carter come back around to who he was last year. That wasn't that long ago and isn't a stretch. If he falls back off I'd switch.

  5. 5 and 1 in last six, your axe with carter has everyone still complaining about the team pushing to within 6 points of third after not having a starting goalie for half the year.

  6. Isn't simply and purely about Carter being good at face-offs? (Even though he lost a few in overtime against Columbus). Could it be about "locker-room chemistry"? Could it be about him being "big" in front of the net? I am just grasping at straws here :).

  7. Same as Puustinen last year.. Played one game, played pretty darn good and never saw NHL roster again..

Sully sucks ass with these young good AHL players..
