  1. No, not really. Myers have say where he will go so you can forget Arizona. And OEL? 8 YEARS? Right…

  2. I subscribed SOLEY because of your personal story at the beginning. I watch your vids often but I rarely subscribe to anyone because I don’t want a big mess of videos. But your personal touch put me over the edge.

PS. Love your vids, and I’m from Kelowna and have loved the Canucks my entire life! From playing inbetween periods when I was 6, to the 94’ and 11’ game 7’s.

They are hard to watch but still have some great young talent.

    🤞🏻 Bedard!

  3. Myers defensive gaffs were horrendous this year. Not a tough guy or scorer either. Heave ho

  4. I think the way Rick has Meyers playing he will be okay to keep till his contract runs out. As for OEL Retain half his contract if you can trade him. At least you get something back and it won't kill us.

  5. What about cap retention on an OEL trade. Is he worth something at 5.2 mil? It is much easier to eat 2 mil a year on OEL for 4 years than to loose 5 mil in cap space.
If I'm management, that's my move.
I'd also move Myers and bring in Dumba on the right at an affordable cap

  6. Getting Lego lore is the present I didn't expect but loved

  7. If they can offload Boeser and/or Garland at the draft (or after) and Myers after his actual money is paid, that gives us a decent amount of space. I’d rather just keep OEL for at least another season and play him in the 3rd pair. Managing his minutes would hopefully improve his play, and if he ends up back on the LTIR, perhaps the Canucks can talk to him about LTIRment so he can collect his money in peace and we can have the space back. Otherwise, if he’s still terrible by the end of the season, yeah maybe a buyout at that point. Just the more time they can kill on the contract, the lesser the years for the hit in the buyout. Every year bought out counts for two years in cap penalties. Next season the cap isn’t going to go up much again, but it has to eventually, and the closer we can be patient until then, I think the better

  8. Because they failed to address the cap, management is back itself into a corner for next season and will need that low cap hit on OEL $146k and $2.4m. Unfortunately $4.7 and $4.7 will hurt but cap should be increased enough to cover it. If they wait until following season, they lose that ultra low cap hit $146k and jump right into $2.0m and so on. I have so little faith in this current regime that they’re just gonna take the easy way out aka. Also known as the Benning way.

  9. The Canucks…the team that never learns. They waited years to get rid of Eriksson's contract only to replace it with OEL's. Just when you think the new management wouldn't do the same thing, they sign JT Miller to a long extension 🤣. People that think JT's contract is going to age well are the same people that think this team will be a contender next year. There was a reason why they couldn't move Miller last year, nor this year at the deadline.

This team has no idea how to properly manage their assets. They just turn into millions of dollars worth of liabilities.

  10. Send him to the AHL. Cap hit of half his salary x4 years is way better.

  11. Wait till season is done before anyone is considered. Whoever keeps playing hard and simple. Now this season matters. We just seen them do everything we hoped this last game. Imagine if coach has exactly what they needed. Now is what matters, not summer . Our defense will surprise everyone now. Anyone ever watch Adam Foote play? Prototype defenseman. Lots of bruises for our opponents has got a be part of the recipe. Legal bruises.hehe.

  12. forget it, trade OEL and a pick or good prospect for a bag of pucks just to get rid of him.

  13. The next league contract has to have a mercy buyout built in. Just to save GM's from themselves.

  14. OEL isn’t getting bought out we have toooo many UFa bear contract extension aren’t going as planned they thought he would be cheap he’s not lol I wonder how the cap works out know Bear,Hronek, beaviller, kraftsov and Petteys contract talks should start next imo and he’s gonna be 10m+ wonder what happens in the next couple years to see this so called retool get finished

  15. Jackets fan here. I've listened to your videos for a long time and started following the Canucks saga. Oof. Keep up the good work!

  16. Hey Lego congrats on the date. As for the video Myers wasn't a 6×6, he was signed to a 5 year 30 mil deal.

    Cheers!

  17. Based on the cap hit with an OEL buyout, I can see why Alvain is not interested in buying him out. We're better off having the full cap hit and a player who has the potential to rebound and pick up some trade value next year then to buy him out and be anchored by a $5mil cap hit with not player or trade potential to show for it and nothing you can do about it.

As for Myres, I actually didn't realize next year is the last year of his contract. A trace is an option, if there's teams interested in him but worst case scenario, is we get a fading but still OK defenseman for 1 more year at an inflated price, then he's gone and we can look at prospects to step up and fill the spot. Might give our youth some motivation to work hard to develop themselves if they have a hope in hell of cracking the roster.

  18. Hey, Lego, you ever think about how many rookie GMs the Canucks have had in the last ever years? Alvin, Benning, Gillis, Nonis, ? Go back further, …take a look at the amount of veteran leadership in that position of the organization has been held and then ask yourself if there is a pattern. Maybe I'm wrong and there's nothing to look at, but ….I dunno. I've never heard anyone go over it.- Tony M

  19. Myers is movable, but you'rere likely paying a team to take him. After next year, it's over, just ride it out. OEL is a different story though. A buy-out is onerous. Him playing D for the rest of his contract is painful to the fans and the team. And anyone taking on his contract in a trade will have to be paid handsomely, unlike a Myers trade where a 2nd might get it done.

  20. If they do trade or buyout Tyler Myers’s what does the Vancouver Canucks gonna get for a player from those 21 teams in the NHL

  21. I start to catch Allvin's drift for acquiring Hronek to replace Tyler Myers perhaps.

  22. Aquillini or close advisors to him should have blocked the OEL/ Garland trade.

  23. Amateur incompetent Canucks management. Another overpaid mediocre player. Shows how far a player can ride their first round draft pick.
