Ok I’m gonna go full conspiracy here but who cares at this point? I suspect… (Clue the board game reference) that Sully might be under direct orders by Hextall to play Carter or else? However that does not explain his “usage” of him during the game. So I guess I’m contradicting myself? 😅
Got to start desmith at this point. Jarry has not performed at a substandard level. He has flat out been awful! I would go with desmith and give a great defensive effort to help him out. The team knows what they have to do when desmith is in net as opposed to jarry. Better overall performance. Atleast I'm optimistic.
I keep getting myself excited for poehling and bonino and archy to form the fourth line. I believe that would be a compliment to the lineup. But then I'm reminded/worried sully won't scratch Carter, so that line will suck regaurdless.i don't understand it, and I know I'm not alone.
Ouch DK, tell us how you REALLY feel. Sadly, you are totally correct. What a waste of special talent on the top 2 lines (now 3) to have to be burdened by the incompetence of the rest. And let's face it, Jarry is a liability now. Can't depend on him. Don't know the specifics of what's wrong with him so it's difficult to say if he will ever have a complete recovery. If you doubt your goal tending, it's time to turn out the lights.
Never have been a Jarry fan. Get rid of that guy.
With our goaltending, it is impossible to imagine making any kind of run in the playoffs. We have to get rid of Jarry for next season.

One of the biggest mistakes they made was after the second of the back to back cups. They should’ve kept Flower and traded Murray when his stock was at its highest. They could’ve gotten a lot for him.
The Pens are hoping Carter will see the light and hang it up and save them the embarrassment and be injured the rest of the season and then retire.

The other way to look at this re the goalie situation, is that the pens should have won the Rangers playoff series last year with Louie the 3rd stringer. I think tonites' game is HUGE! Let's go Pens!
It's mind boggling that this is the same goaltending duo that lost in the first round to the Islanders back in 2021.
I legitimately had a dream last night that Carter was scratched. That's how I knew it was a dream.

From what I've seen I agree 100 percent DK The lack that keeps happening is no accident or should I say is. They need to tighten up the defense and put the pressure on the offensive attacks. I will still cheer them on because I'm sure they heard the boo's Not for just that reason though. They are the Pens and our team. Thanks DK great show
