    Leafs could've easily scored 4 or 5 tonight. Matthews alone could've had 2 or 3. Gotta finish on your opportunities. Also, leafs really need to be smarter at the end of periods. Leafs had all the momentum in the 2nd and an overly aggressive play by both McCabe and Brodie led to that 3rd panthers goal. Its only game 1. Gotta be better on Thursday.

    I'm surprised about the Nylander bashing. To say that he didn't do anything when he had the most shots on goal in the game with 7, had that sick sticklift steal into pass to the slot from behind the net, the cross ice saucer that gave Knies the shot opportunity from the slot, had a few rushes but never with any teammate joining in. I'm not saying he should get one of the 3 stars, but to point him out as the guy as the main reason Toronto didn't produce more just sounds illogical.

    JD was cranky critical. They had a chance and that late period goal took the mojo out of them. We are the better team just need the team part to remain a constant. Easy to draw penalties they are used to Bruins antics and are crossing that line when pushed. Power play ‘em and we go in 6 again. Blue and true🫂

    Bunting should be playing more than Knies for sure.
    Knies looked better on the 3rd line, his speed helps more down the lineup

    Totally disagree with Mckee, if you take away their PP the game looks meh for the Leafs 5 on 5. Way too loose defensively & IMO that’s where we hold the advantage this series.

    Panthers were dirty. That high stick and kicking the goalie in the face with the skate. Disgusting team Florida, they play by bringing you down to their lower level. This is how they beat the best boston. By lowering their opponents skill cap by being more physical, dirty etc.

    Don’t underestimate the fact that the panthers got to the second round last year and got swept, their confidence is at an all time high with Tkachuk leading the way

    Florida played Toronto like Boston plays Toronto, quick paced and very physical. Thats how they beat Boston, they out Bostoned them by being quicker and more physical.

    I agree with Sam in that Samsonov was not sharp and Bob… was. Nylander has not played well even in the Tampa series. O'Reilly ? Hasn't done much. In the play offs to date.

    No more magic comebacks, with Panthers you can hardly comeback from 2:4, I can't imagine it from 1:4.
