I just can't believe it either. Panthers got outplayed by the leafs easily 3 of the 5 games. So far, Carolina has outplayed the Panther at least 2-3 games and the Panthers have taken all 3. You cannot talk enough about the Panthers goalie literally robbing goal after goal and playing like an absolute star. Dude is on fire right now.

This is pure magic and you're 100% correct, to have this kind of run from a Cinderella, it takes a lot of pixie dust getting trucked down I-95 from WDW to Sawgrass Mills. Thing is, it's getting shipped down to Miami, too. The Heat and Panthers are nearly identical in (W-L) in the post season but, both go from an eight seed to knocking off the one seeds, no home court/ice advantage at all during the series, contributions from both the Heat bench and all four-five lines from the Panthers, plus both teams are putting up defensive play that is sucking the air off the ice and court.
This is a Thirty-for Thirty (30-for -30) special being made, history in the same sports market. A sports producer and executive producer's dream not because it hasn't ever been done before but because of the backstory on how both teams backed into the playoffs and shocked the world, in a lock step dance. It's not written yet and the finals still have to be played. But, what a year to live in SoFL. FAU nearly upsets the college basketball world making it to the Final Four and now this. I wish some of the pixie-dust mojo will rub-off on the Marlins and the Fins!

I’ve been a Florida fan since 2015 when Roberto luongo started there and this season I punched the ticket early, I didn’t think the Mathew trade was great, I loved hubby but since those last few days of the regular season this team has done nothing but surprise me and honestly I’m giving a lot of credit to Paul Maurice too
Can you believe that not only that the Florida Panthers and the Miami Heat are 1 game away from going to the Stanley Cup Finals and the NBA Finals, but that they BOTH beat the best team in the regular season in the first round and just have destroyed everyone in there way? I just hope that what's happening with the Miami Heat doesn't overshadow the Florida Panthers.

There really shouldn't be a surprise, they were the top team in NHL last year and, as a Bolts fan, the Panthers dominated us every game this season and remember The Bolts swept the Panthers last year. Panthers are going all the way this year!

They also got away with near. Murder agians the leafs. Yes leafs bent but they have to fight for what yhey want remember how the flyers bullied leafs way back . But Sitler's team had defend and fight back. What happened to Knies was near criminal and the panthers got away with it.

This is a prime example for those that think high goal scoring is what makes for good hockey. It is the compete level that makes a great game, not the final score. It can be 1-0 or 5-6, if both teams are going the best they can muster, and there are nothing but stellar play with few mistakes its just the best game on earth. Sometimes something special happens when a team is pretty much out of it early and they have nothing left to lose. The claw back into the playoff picture and from the deficit to the bruins has removed all fear of failure from this team. They have hit that spot where they just play and cant wait for the next game to just play again. This is one hell of a series for a 3-0 one.
Just remember the LA KINGS against the NEW YORK RANGERS LA just made it in at the 8th seed and won the STANLEY CUP.
I am proud of Bob. I am proud my my Panthers for coming this far, never been this proud!!

I think it's worth pointing out that last year, the Panthers were the team deemed to most likely win the cup.
I wonder sometimes if the reason they slightly struggled through this latest season was the disappointment of losing last year – then clinching the playoff birth (let alone knocking out the Bruins) gave them that boost of confidence and drive needed to go the distance.
An 8th place team winning the cup is nothing new

If you are shocked by Bobrovsky then you’ve clearly never watched him play. The guy has been a wall since Columbus, and it was clear he was a great goalie all the way back to his couple games vs. Boston in 2011 playoffs. His issue has been consistency, but he has always made outrageous saves.
After beating Boston…this is a far away from shocking as you can get.

I've been a fan since I hopped on the bandwagon in '96. Unfortunately, living in the "south" all my life, I didn't grow up with hockey, but when I found the sport I stayed. My son has grown up playing hockey and become a suffering fan just like me. While we travelled to different rinks around the state, anything outside of the 3 S.E. Florida counties was all decked out in Lightning stuff. I just hope that this helps gets more people interested in the game, and that more kids see this and want to play. I'm not counting on anything yet, but, this does feel special, and it's been a very long 27 years to truly have this feeling again.
