It's not luck that's required. It's called building a balanced team. Florida was just better and we were soft. We let Bennett, Goudas off the hook for what they did to Knies/Bunting/Kamph

It's not like treliving is a bad gm I basically wouldn't be happy or sad if he got the job. To keep pridham happy if he doesn't get the job maybe give him more responsibilities or more money in his next contract
Didn't a lot of other gms not like dubas. Hopefully the new gm has better relationships with the other gms
Bobrovsky conn smyth winner. I would argue that even if Florida loses in the finals. JS Gigure did it with the ducks. Bob has been simply outstanding, mvp so far, hands down. Tkachuk could be considered as well..
Its not like treliving built a bad roster in calgary it underperformed because of bad coaching and inconsistent goaltending

It isn't about an upgrade. The Dubas / Shanahan / MLSE relationship had soured, probably last summer when MLSE would not extend Dubas' contract. The Leafs had a good year and won a playoff series, so Shanahan has Board approval to extend Dubas. But then Dubas said my maybe I don't want to stay. Well at that point I can't imagine Shanahan didn't hear from the Board in a rather negative fashion.
Trelliving is an upgrade in the sense that he will want to ge there, and will be happy to have Shanahan in between him and ownership, which he didn't have in Calgary. He's a good GM.
People say Shanahan "aired dirty laundry". No he didn't, he did his job and protected the Board. They didn't want Dubas back, so Shanahan went out there and fell on his sword. Shanahan's job is to manage upward. He did it.
Dubas kept Keefe way too long, should been gone after Montreal. Drafting and trading are pointless if you sign half your salary cap to 4 NTC players who haven't earned them. Shanny should be gone too at this point.
Get someone from the Kings, Hawks, Tampa, or Shittsburgh organization, they know how to win multiple cups recently, not a dumpsterfire Canadian team that hasn't won in 31 years or more. 😂
If Treviling is the new GM for the Leafs then both Shanahan and the new GM must be on the same page to bring in the right players to balance this team out to go deep in the playoffs only then the new GM is an upgrade from Dubas
Florida has played a good tough game these playoffs and deserves where they are, I hope our Leafs are better next year. Its all above our pay scale.
Treliving is a huge mistake, Mathews will most certainly not sign and will leave the team for LA or someone else and the leafs will become stagnant once again. The Shanaplan is a total disaster. I guess he did the impossible and at least got you to the 2nd round
Stop bargain bin shopping for goalies, every team that beat us last 5-7 years all had better goalies, this is not a coincidence .
