I'm excited and bummed that the Avs drew the Kraken. I think it'll be cool to be a part of their history. But bummed because if the Avs are gonna come out pants on fire mad men again, then I would have rather we beat up on Nashville or something similar.
Makar has been out forever, yet noone seems to know what his injury is, or whether he's healthy for the playoffs or not. Please enlighten me.

I think Seattle could steal a couple games this series. They're really solid 5v5, and we all know the refs tend to swallow their whistles in the postseason… There's also something to be said about the human element – the Kraken probably have the lowest expectations of the 16 playoff teams and all of the pressure to win this series is on the Avs.
I still think Colorado wins it in 6 games, just think they're being a little overlooked given their style of play and how well they played the Avs during the regular season.
If nothing else beat the Kraken cause their mascot looks like a basement-dwelling Redditor

Exactly true-i dont think the Avs have had a healthy blueline-even once this yr. Toewes missed the 1st 2 games. But when healthy,the Avs are clearly the best blueline in the nhl,& I dont think Boston,Minny,Vegas-whoever,is really even that close. There are issues at forward that may prevent the repeat-& you mentioned my #1 concern. Compher has been great,& is clutch,but is he really a legit 2c? But the blueline is in a class by itself-if healthy.
