@Sharks de San José

Ils veulent monter..

Getting Smith makes me a Happy Camper. but trading up for Fantilli! WOW, not since Sam Pollock have I heard this kinda of agressive trade talks… I like it! R.

  2. Great video junkie, sounds familiar were all talking on this in our podcast lol ,I did three videos last night and I discussed this as well. Good job bro ,I think Hugh's and Gorton are up to something something for sure .

  3. Hughes could be all in on Michkov and but thinks Michkov goes before 5th. We don't know so speculating that he doesn't want Michkov has no merit.

  4. Mtls 5th
    Flo's 1st pick
    Josh anderson
    Farewell maybe???

    For ducks 2 pick?
    Or 4th?
Also Columbus 3rd is up for grabs they offered mtl 3rd for the 5th and dach… Remove dach add anderson and ferewell or something

  5. Whether or not SJ would be willing to swap with MTL would be strongly based on who’s still available after the first three are off the board. If The Sharks still really like two guys when it’s time to pick 4th, they might swap to 5 with Montreal. It’s entirely possible.

But to get the 2nd overall away from Anaheim… that’s gonna take a package you might not be willing to part with. Anaheim knows how good Adam Fantilli is. They’re not gonna do The Habs any favours.

Edit: Every year we hear about how teams wanna move up, especially into the top 5. But the reality is it seldom happens.

  6. Wait… can’t Kent Hughes just wait and see who the sharks take at 4th overall and then trade for it if it’s will
Smith instead of guessing nobody takes mitchkov? Also, the 5th and Harris for the 4th sounds good for both sides or am I wrong?

  7. As a Sens fan, I hope the Habs draft Michkov, and then he just stays in Russia and never plays one game for them lol

  8. Not a Habs fan, no idea how I stumbled on this video, but my unbiased opinion is the 31st pick wouldn’t be enough unless there’s 5 guys that San Jose loves. I think that’s a big if because it’s been widely reported teams are split on Michkov. Some would run to the podium to take him at 4 or 5, some have too many concerns. If San Jose, for whatever reason, isn’t high on him, it would take a ton to have them give up Will Smith. He’s probably the only legit number 1 centre prospect left at that point and every team wants that as one of the very first pieces when rebuilding. How far they’re moving down is irrelevant because it really feels like it’s a drop of a whole tier going from Smith to someone like Dvorsky or Reinbacher.

  9. I'm a Habs fan. I really think with all the talk on how great all of the top 5 are this year. Soooo

    To MTL 2nd overall.

    To ANA 5th, 31st, Gallagher.

  10. Why not both? Hmmmm?

Hear me out. This is complete fantasy land BS, but, but that it's Hughes, and he kind of has a way of fleecing other GMs.

Mtl 2023 5th, 2024 first round, Hoffman, & Dvorak for ANA's 2nd overall 2023 pick, and take Fantilli.

Then, Mtl 2023 31st, 37th, Edmundson for SJ's 4th over all 2023 pick, and take Smith.

  11. Could Montréal take Karlson contract for the 4th pick? Dump ltir price contract with it and an active contract like Anderson? It cost a lot to dump an active 11.5m contract

  12. Throwing this out there, is there a way montreal keeps number 5 and gets Karlsson (with some salary rentention). His wife is from Ottawa. Makes sense to me if the cap works out. The cap should start to go up a lot so guys coming off ELCs in 2-3 years should be okay to resign, if the Price is Right!

  13. Montreal fans have shown one thing, and it's that they'll always find a reason to complain. Always. So no wonder Hughes is trying to avoid the Michkov drama! If we pick him and he doesn't show up or live up to the hype, everyone and their grandmas will say that they saw this coming. If we don't pick Michkov and comes to the NHL and kills it, people are all going to want Hughes head on a stick grilling in the BBQ.
Knowing our fanvase, EVEN if we get Fantilli, whemever Michkov comes, if he's any good, the brainiacs fans are still going to roast Hughes. He is just trying to minimoze the drama by having one of the more obvious choices that should yield results faster.

  14. at what price to move up? something will have to be given and that something could very well be a excellent young prospect that could hurt the Habs also. ?

  15. As a GM in the NHL I think you have to look at all avenues to try and improve your team. Even if I wasn't super serious about moving up in the draft, I'd still make those phone calls and see what the cost could be.

  16. I'd target the 2nd pick if anything. Anaheim, despite the fact that any team would add a Fantilli even with center depth, has young center depth and is virtually barren on the wings. With enough compensation, they could be tempted to draft whoever ends up falling to 5. Michkov and Zegras? Insane. Smith centering Zegras with Strome or MacTavish as 2nd C + draft capital and good prospect? Insane. Same if it were Leo Carlson who falls to 5.

I'd be perfectly ok offering up 5th, 31st, 2024 2nd and Joshua Roy to move up for Fantilli.

Imagine our top 6 with a potential of Caufield, Suzuki, Dach, Slaf, Fantilli and Dubois. That'd be insane and worth the draft capital. Hell i'd even consider tossing them Calgary's 1st rounder as well. Otherwise, stick at 5 and take who's available from Leo, Smith or Michkov.

  17. If he trades for a higher pick, with having the #5, it'll undermine a lot of the good work they've done already IMO. Not enough to throw the baby out with the bath water, but doesn't make sense
