I agree he is so freaking underrated
He is not really a Center though, he’s more of a RW, like Motte. Can we please just get a 4th line center who can WIN FACEOFFS!!

A lot of scenario's there. Safe bet is Hathaway wants to jump up from 1.5m to at least 2m for the last significant contract he can get. Probably signs with someone for 2m per x 3 or 4y. Even 1.5 is a bit rich for 31year old 4th liner, with the Rangers cap issues. I still think you stick with the inexpensive Brodzinski to at least get you to the trade deadline. If he kills it great. If he is mediocre at least at trade deadline it is easier to juggle cap money contracts. I see/hope Cuylle starts Left side on 4th. Along with Othmann, Kreider, Panarin, and Laughy, that is one overloaded side. Someone has to go and 2 of them have NMC's this year. Othmann was ready last year and Cuylle should be ready this year and Laf has shown very little. He's gotta go, and draft picks is the best way for Rangers to deal with current cap. Thanks to 2019 summer over signings and their domino effect on 2022 resigns.
