Why doesn't Karlsson just change his position? He clearly has no interest in actually playing defense. He's a great player, but not really a player that should be rewarded for their defense.
After his 100 point season it would be understandable to nominate him as a winner but I feel like there should be a trophy for best offensive defenseman, like the Selke for best defensive forward. Karlsson isnt exactly the best at defense but his 100 point season is still a monumental feat.
