As a Devils fan I'm really to cream my drawers.
Not what i would’ve hoped for in a Toffoli trade, but flames get a young centre that can potentially get better. Hell, lindholm wasn’t even placed as a number 1 centre in his first season with the flames. But this could very well be the first part in putting together a bigger trade for the draft as well. Guess we’ll have to wait and see.
So basically what this is all leading up to is don’t be surprised when we only get a 5th round pick for Connor Garland
As a Devs fan I will say when on Yegor is pretty good..great shot and good penalty killer..he does disappear for stretches..it's a win for both..Devs weren't gonna sign him so really traded a 3rd for Toffoli..in Calgary's eyes tho they get Yegor and a 3rd for someone they weren't gonna sign after this year

I look at it a little different. I see a career 40-50 pt player who will probably not resign and hitxthe market next year. Will be tough for him to get the same minutes in NJ. Good trade if youre trying to win a cup now.

People are seriously underestimating what Sharangovich can become. With actual time to play, you guys will have a perennial 30-goal scorer. Just watch and see.. Imwas really at odds with Ruff here: he continually benched Yegor, in favor of clowns like Wood. I’m happy for Yegor, as I think he will finally become an actual FULL-TIME NHLer..

so looking at his stats had 1 good year…which was last due to Sutter riding him. He is average at best and in jersey he will get back to 40-50's pts max.

They could have had so much more for Toffoli at the next trade deadline on top of enjoying his production for a good part of the season. That's a bonehead move by Calgary.
Toffoli will play less minutes in Jersey and point production will go down. Sharangovich will play more and score more. The only way the devils win this one is if they go to a cup final and Toffoli scores some key goals along the way
