with all that cap space, why don't you sign the top FAs available and then trade them for first round picks? I do it all the time and it works out nice

Idk how but with tarasov he went from a 77 up to an 81 in one season. I guess he is a starter high for me so it’s kinda obvious it would happen.
for contracts I would do a 1-2 year gap for what the player wants, for example if a player wants 2 years you could give them 1 or 3 years, or 2

I don’t like the rule. Some people ask for way to much and that’s why you get steals. IRL people take discounts for long term. Guys like Nick Paul. You should be able to get steals if you can

I just got NHL 23 and I only play franchise mode and I wanna know if there’s a way to make it more realistic I did 3 saves so far one with Vancouver where I tried to actively tank my highest rated player was like 83 rated and I won the cup and then I did Dallas and tried to go all out for a cup and just missed the playoffs entirely for 3 seasons and then the Leafs are just the Leafs they’ve always been cracked in franchise mode but why are teams like Arizona and Montreal and Vancouver so good in every save I do? It feels like ratings don’t matter in the slightest in this game which really sucks
