    not a great scorer by any means but he'll contribute to add alot of depth at this forward group I think all these moves prepare a Huge deal maybe DeBrincat ? Connor? will be exciting to see for sure

    So, after all this, where does this leave guys like Veleno and Zedina? Also, it appears that the young guys are going to be playing in GR for a long time.

    How I treat these signings is to ask the question: are they better than who they're replacing? To me almost all the signings are better than who they're replacing, including Holl. Fischer is a borderline player but is still an upgrade over the bottom roster spots that have been moved out, at least judging by the numbers (I'm not completely familiar with his play so I can't say much there.) It seems like SY is going more for strengthening depth rather than going for the big splash, which is reasonable. That big splash is still possible via trade as well, as there's still room to make it happen if all works out.

    I would have preferred some different players be signed but overall the team is far better today than what they ended the season with and I think better than before the trade deadline.

    4 lines……the RW's NOW have 4 solid lines….and will compliment the team with only the best of their young players, that can EARN their way on the ice……ALWAYS trust SY……

    with all of these additions, SY has left us in a position to KEEP the young talent……that actually deserves it…..and young players will need to earn their ice time…..not have it given to them just because he drafted them….

    All these 20-30 pt “defensively responsible” guys don’t like the puck on puck on their stick, they have to be betting on a lot of internal improvement and depth because I don’t know who they’re expecting to score the goals

    I like what Yzerman is doing. He’s stocked with good young players, both on the roster and coming up, and if he sees he’s not making the playoffs, he sells high on a player who will want big money next season.
