  1. I don't know how the new GM for Toronto is even qualified for the job.
It seems to me like he'll continue meandering down the same old path of least resistance and signing Karlsson because he's merely a recognizable name.

BIG changes need to made, people need to be let go, the people at the top need to work smarter not harder.

  2. 100 points as a defence man. That’s pretty good. Defence didn’t let the Leafs down in the playoffs, scoring and goaltending did

  3. As a Leafs fan, he is exactly what the Leafs need. They don't get goals from the backend, in fact, they're one of the worst teams in the league when it comes to goals scored by defensemen. Treliving is likely going to change a lot of the defense and this would be one way to due

  4. Your Ottawa Toronto concern is stupid. Spezza was one of the best Senators of all time and when he came over as a free agent signing he was Immediately welcomed by leaf's nation. Having said that, I don't think we need Karlson.

  5. You must have forgot about that conference final run in Ottawa where he was out of this world, he’s a big time player

  6. wow im surprised to hear san jose is not willing to retaining any salary. i just dont see how any playoff team could afford 11.5

  7. “Only three names”? I guess you missed the “among several teams” part. Also, Jason Spezza would like a word.

  8. Lets be honest, they need to spread there money around there team more or they ain't gonna win anything

  9. Yeah I couldn’t ever see EK65 on the Leafs. Honestly makes me sick, I’d assume he has them on his No-trade list.

  10. Mistake? No. TML thinks they can just sign a guy because they want him.
News Flash: YOU HAVE NO CAP!!! Remember a guy named Dubas? He fixed TML for years to come! You guys couldn’t sign a AAA player!

  11. Nylander needs to go as good as he is he is not built for playoffs but to trade him to try and Aquire karlsson would be a huge mistake, guy is the most over paid d man in the league and not worth it at all

  12. Listen, I'm at the stage personally where I think Karlsson would be a great fit. Apart from his high cap, I think they'd likely trade up Nylly and another for him. I think he'd honestly make the team cuz he's a strong defense man, he's 33 in b/w the older folk and the younger, and he's a leader.

  13. Ya, because what the Leafs need is a soft one dimensional offensive defenseman

  14. Leafs do leafs things since 1968… yes since their last glory yr off season.😊

  15. Toronto have to get rid of
Auston Matthews and keep Nylander if they want the SC-Trophy
    For me it's a no-brainer.
The fine fine people, higher up in the Leaf-organisation keeps on making horrible descisions and have done so for long looong time. If Nylander is forced to go, it's his win

  16. If only there was a way to look at how successful organizations are structured…Paying a couple of "superstars" while not being able to afford a quality supporting cast seems to not be the way to go. This is turning into a joke.

  17. Please no. In a lifelong leafs fan and the Sens are my second team. There was a time id have loved him to jump to Toronto…and it was a long time ago

  18. Nylander and Brodie For Karlsson 25% retain and a 1st rounder leafs send the first rounder to another team that will retain another Minimum 10%
