    Until the leafs clear some cap room, the team can't afford a goalie. 😄

    Most likely a $3.5M – 2yrs deal or something like that. I wouldn't do more than 2yrs..

    The way he played so well last year in the regular season and playoffs – like winning the first round for the Leafs in 20 years – the arbitration award could vary – maybe even give Samsonov from $3.5 Million to $5.5 Million. It is not the Leaf goalie’s problem that Leafs are overpaying their Core 4. In fact maybe the arbitrator should be given the power to force Leafs to trade one of Nylander, Marner or Matthews – enough to pay Samsonov a fair amount as a starting goalie? Or maybe a buy out for JT – which is better than Leafs trying to play without a goalie? – or using a college goalie like last year? Or is it?

    Kumper makes 5 million he won cup. Samsonov has to prove himself first stay health for atleast one season and see how he does. Probobly 3.2 million at most one year deal if he want to prove himself or 2 maybe
