1. The whole Hawks organization has a black eye from ownership to the players in the room. Keep in mind after the hawks found out what happened, they referred that coach to the USA minor hockey program.

  2. When thinking of playoff spots in the west, we know the Canucks aren't going to be top 3 in their division. So, you have the Blues, Predators, and Jets in the Central with 2 of those 3 teams not being in the top 3. So, 2 of those teams, plus Seattle, and Calgary with 2 wild card spots available. I'm not threatened by Calgary, and Seattle hasn't made big moves. The Blues were sellers also and Winnipeg is questionable. So, you have to be better than Winnipeg, St. Louis, .plus Seattle. I see Nashville in the playoffs. It'll be a battle for a wild card spot if everything clicks into place. I see Seattle back in. Gotta beat out Winnipeg and St. Louis for the last spot. Doable. Possibly doable above Seattle also. But not a top 3 in the division. 7th if absolutely everything clicks for a full 80 games when historically they flounder for at least a 10 game stretch at some point of the season. They need to improve by 12+ points to make the playoffs. That's doable. 20+ point improvement to be top 3 ….. I don't think so. And has the defence actually improved since the beginning of last season? Schenn, OEL, and Bear out and a lot of questions in. Horvat out with his 30 goals and less fire power in. Kuzmenko, Miller, and Elias can't be expected to improve much offensively. Defensively overall better forwards and the goaltending tandem should be improved. We will find out if the new structure is heading in the right direction for sure. A lot of fire power in the league to stop. Wild card spot at best. I'm predicting a flounder around all star break after a decent first half. Then heavy choices at trade deadline time knowing a contract with Elias is due.

  3. Canadans are always happy to live in Canada and all those great taxes you pay and can brag about lol
