I’m from Seattle and I think people will draw on existing rivalries from other sports. San Jose and Vancouver are no brainers but also LA, Ananheim, and even Phoenix.
Canucks vs. Kraken is the only rivalry out of the box. It's only 2 hours to each others arena.

Seattle is a home run and the opponents are going to melt on our rain water ice. It will be a tight bowl filled with Seattle fans. The noise will be like nothing in the NHL or the world.
I just can't see Canuck fans hating Seattle fans as much as they hate Flames fans. For the long term.

The Seattle Kraken’s main rivals will have to be my Canucks, Sharks, Jets, Flames, Oilers, Golden Knights(maybe Blackhawks, Kings and Ducks) and Maple Leafs

I live in the Puget Sound and have been to Blue Jays-Mariners games, it's always 50-50 as fan base goes. It's a rivalry!

I am so excited for what’s to come from the rivalries and I hope the Kraken will be competitive. I have embarrassed the sport of hockey since the announcement of an NHL team coming to Seattle. What I do know is the Kraken is joining a very tough division packed full of talent. This Krak head can’t wait to watch the Kraken in the Krak house👍
I could see a Kraken Redwings rivalry between them because of the octopus. The Wings throw octopi and the kraken are pretty much just a giant octopus.
I think that it will be the Canucks as a MAIN rival. Like a Blackhawks and blues rivalry type or maybe a Wild vs Avalanche rivalry. Pretty big rivals
I don't care what anyone say's as a Leafs fan I will NEVER except settle as a rivalry I like settle as a back up team
