Give a thumbs up if you think Blake Price made the better argument!
Give a thumbs up if you think Matt Sekeres made the better argument!
I think big McDonough should make the team. Hogz and podz are going in circles career wise.
They all looked bad last night
Abbotsford start. Call up
San Jose would take Höglander right away.
A Vancouver tradition. Arguing about a 4th line plug. Does podkolzin have a puppy you all could do a poll about naming? Or maybe.
I would go with Di Giuseppe's more aggressive game in the bottom six at left wing. The Canucks are not a tough team to play against, Di Giuseppe has that in his game. He will have to earn it though this preseason.
hoglander has more upside, put him with petey let him rack up points and trade him as part of a package with a bad contract for a 2nd round pick
meanwhile … can the ever-so scholarly soothsayers at 'sekeres 'n price' really 'n truly know the seeming preordained fate of the perennially beleaguered yet enticingly enigmatic would-be hockey hero 'hogenheimer' ? … with the onset of opening day puck-drop fast approaching, … the suspense mounts … as the ultimate destiny of # 21 awaits…
If Aatu Raty can show a little more of what he did last night, I think Hoglander can be expendable.
I think Matt made the better argument and the lines might look something like this, assuming Mikheyev is good to go.
Kuzmenko-Pettersson-Mikheyev
Beauvilier-Miller-Boeser
Höglander-Suter-Garland
Joshua-Blueger-Podkolzin
With DiGiuseppe as the extra forward, and who knows, if Mikheyev is out maybe Höglander moves to the top line and we might see Josh Bloom on third line. I don't think its wise to move Joshua up the line up, they tried that last year with poor results. Cheers!
dont get an indicted talking that scam talk lol
The Canucks still need to off-load a couple of expendible multi-million $ players, at least 2 but maybe 3, to clear cap room and make some space for younger cheaper players. The problem is that other teams have cap management issues as well.
Benning utterly botched the player mix, blew up the cap, was just trying to save his own job. Trevor Linden was right, years ago, that a total rebuild was the way to go. Ownership nixed that, here we are with Rutherford trying to fix multiple years of mistakes. It will take another year probably to get younger, cheaper, better.
Did I hear correctly that Nils Aman doesn't have to clear waivers ? How is that a thing ? He's 23 years old he can't possibly be exempt can he ?
Yes.
Let's just hope Pettersson is smart and leaves next off-season.
