  1. This is the year…They will go as far as the goalie situation will allow them ! Sabers fans, be full of hope, the dog day might be over ! With the Bolts, Panthers, Sens( because of the whole Pinto and Norris situation) and Bruins weakens, you can be the surprise ! It's gonna be a fun year !

  2. PS-Sabres have three 1st overall picks on D with Erik Johnson too, I AM AMAZED you all picked my guys in top 2-3. I was thinking it would be 5th or 6th. Good on you guys

  3. WAY overrating this team… ! fun to watch offensively, but giving up to many shots and too many goals wont cut it in this conference. I say they miss the playoffs again.

  4. they were not tough last year, one of the lowest in the league in hits, that's something they need to work on, too easy to play against

  5. If the goaltending and defense is decent, this is without a doubt a top 3 team in the Atlantic with the offense they have.

HOT TAKE: If they get in, they’ll be in the Conference Finals. There’s always that one team in the East that no one see’s coming at all end up in the conference finals for the past three full NHL seasons (Florida, Rangers, Carolina).

  6. I'll tune in and watch Steve's show as long as there is no mention of the Toronto team. The second that team is mentioned, off it goes.

  7. As a devils fan this is the team I'm scared of the most in the east

  8. The amount of hype puzzles me. They are a team that needs to outscore their problems. The Atlantic is not setup for teams like that. If Buffalo starts winning games 2-1 then I'll start to buy in. I am rooting for them for sure

  9. I made a bet with my friend months ago that the Sabres would be top 2 in the Atlantic, and I’m fired up that y’all agree 🎉

  10. Havn't figured it out since Ryan Miller… Dudes: Two things: Ullmark won the Vezina, use to play in Buffalo. Besides, funny how you pick on the goalies but not the awful team D.

  11. The Buffalo Sabres have big, tough players who were lowest in team recorded bodychecks last season. We could see a couple teams crumbling that were in the playoffs ahead of them, but this could be the year to make the playoffs (not like those other years I thought that this was the year that they make the playoffs).

  12. Steve, the Buffalo Sabres, or Rasmus Dahlin’s team. I’m pretty sure the eight year deal will solidify that.

  13. All these guys didn’t put it together that Ralph Krueger was the worst coach the NHL has ever seen 😢

  14. Thompson's career turnaround is cause of their coach Don Granato. Realized the skill set and moved him from power forward to center where he just took off from there.

  15. The biggest difference in Tage’s game? Don Granato vs Ralph Krueger..coaching makes a difference. One of the biggest issues besides goaltending is defense, the Sabres just didn’t do well supporting the goalie. Devon Levi is insane and I love him. So glad Dahlin got signed

  16. Jordan greenway was horrible at end of year, hes the one bad roster spot this year, hopefully he proves me wrong but hes a big guy that hates contact and hes kinda slow.

  17. Tage got coaching. Granato turned him into what he is. Krueger had no idea what he had. UPL is not an NHL goaltender. Comrie was hurt most of the yr and outplayed UPL in preseason. Power will command a lot of money. Best for him will be a bridge 3-5 yr bridge deal. Greenway and Clifton will help with the physical play.
