Great win after losing our opener. I didn't see the game . Did not like the odd man rushes or them getting behind our D. But love to see that strong W! Go Wings Baby!!
I'm gonna say it again! Because it bears repeating. If the Wings don't get better goaltending, and the defenseman don't pick it up, they're gonna fall short of the playoffs again! You can't expect to keep giving up 4 goals per game and win! This season will come down to Husso and the Wings defenseman. And that especially goes for Seider!! It's year 3 dude…time to grow up! Offensively, I have no complaints so far.
Did Red wings change there goal horn? If they did this is better than the horn the last couple years but the horn at joe louis arena will always be the best. This goal horn reminds me of the panthers.
So glad the iconic horn is back. This game and that sound took me back to 97 with high power offense. If only we had the best goalie in the league this team would be so impressive. Everyone said keep expectations low on the wings but debrincat, compher, sprong and ghost are already showing up in 2 games and preseason. Need a goalie to get to a .910 save percentage because i can see this squad geting 35 shots minimum a night and only allowing 25-30 so goaltending is going to be huge. And husso didnt have a change on any goal except stamkos 2nd goal but if he stopped that he would have been at around .910 save percentage.
I had to go to the game Live to know it but the Yzerplan is finally starting to take fruition. Rough first couple minutes, they were all over us but we steadily outplayed them. Very entertaining game. That being said, with Vasilevsky in net we would have lost this. We did what we needed to do, take advantage of their injured MVP goalie and pepper on the shots. Great physical play too, Seider throwing a dude perfectly over the boards was skillful entertainment at it's finest. I still believe in Husso as our starting goalie on a cup run one day soon. Let in a couple softies tonight but more than made up for it with a number of scoring chances that should have went in. Love DeBrincat and Larkin coming together better than anybody could have asked for but Seider is really our Ace in the hole…..If Patty Kane proves himself injury free I'd really love to see him in the mix. Shades of the old days when the Wings had all the big names.

Boring game. Lightning doesn’t played seriously. The Goalkeeper played very poorly. Detroit is a weak team.
