The Lemieux trade was way more complicated than is let on here. Stumpy Thomas was traded from the Islanders to the Devils for Claude. The Islanders then traded him straight up for Wendel Clark. If you want to go down that Rabbit hole the Islanders then traded Clark back to the Leafs in a package deal and got back a first round pick in 97. Fourth overall. Yeah…..Roberto Luongo. Who they then….TRADED AWAY!
I love it! ❤
my dad knew mike ricci, childhood friend in scarbrough. would dominate him in shinny. 😂😂
These trade tree videos are cocaine for hockey fans and they encourage respect for the games history along with an understanding of how a trade, or any other gm move, can effect the team/league for a WHILE. Love it.
Geeeze Olan Nolan haven't heard that name in a while
I'm really late commenting (just came across this video), but ummmm at 4:28, that is the weirdest pronunciation of Steve Duchesne that I have ever heard – care to try again?
Too long
Lindros created a franchise he never even played for.
How many cups do the players traded for him have?
there's that 15 million number again
The only trade Quebec/Colorado lost was the Sundin trade. But the Nords did that trade because they felt Clark would bring the edge they were missing. Btw excellent pronunciation on Tanguay bro 😎
Detroit’s stacked teams prevented them from winning more…
There will never be another avs red wings rivalry like the 90s. The sheer amount of hall of famers on each team was astounding
ThE DeViL iS In ThE dEtAiLs… Twice! Oh no.
Lindros demanded a trade….100% on him….never won a cup….Pierre Turgeon was better and should be in the HOF over him….look at gos stats….
Bourque win the Stanley Cup is the best magical moment in all sports history.
My 3 worst experiences being a flyers fan
#3 Brind'amour trade (supposedly because of Lindros)
#2 Bobrovsky trade/Bryzgalov signing
#1 Lindros trade
Mike Keane is my all-time favorite NHL player.
To the Flyers: Eric Lindross
To the Nords/Avs: Half of the players you can name from the 90s
Its still something to consider that in as short as 5 years, Quebec went to Colorado and picked up the star players from OTHER teams such as Bourque, Roy, Selanne, Kariya, Blake, Fleury , Iginla, Claude Lemieux develop a rivalry with the Red Wings that people still talk about today and this is still not considered a dynasty.
