  1. As a german speaker hearing the oilers hired Knoblauch as coach made me laugh harder than it should 😂.. knoblauch means garlic, which is apt as the oilers stink at the moment

  2. Look woody was not the problem. But he's was still not getting the most out of his roster. He did alot great!!! Like alot!!! But he also rode this 11 fwd 7 d men structure that I thought was meh. He rode our big 3 centers wayyyyy 2 much. And he never coached the game. Sometimes if this guy is hot or that guy is hot. Play him. Play the bananas out of him. A good example of this is gagners debut. He should have been out there down by 1 against Dallas. But he went with the old dependable 6 and nothing happened.

    Regardless we can debate back and forth. We don't pay anyone. And the Oilers need some kind of spark somewhere right

  3. The coach always pays for this kind of thing. You can’t fire the players. All I’ve heard is how flawed the Oilers are, from the EXACT same people that said they were contenders a month ago. You know what? They still are contenders, and perhaps Woodcroft was the problem. He had the same team that only lost to the champs two years in a row. No team is perfect anymore, you have to play to your strengths, and if Woodcroft wasn’t utilizing his assets properly, it is on him. If your defensive scheme isn’t working, come up with a new one, don’t just keep using the one that isn’t working. Because f.u. is Colorado’s answer when we ask them for Makar. Boston had the best season in history and went out in the first round, the Avs too. Good teams slump, bad teams get hot. Every team is going to win 25 games, every team is going to lose 25, it’s the other 32 that decide things.

  4. What's going on in Edmonton and AB in general? Players must be literally going bananas in that city with the non-English speaking population explosion. They must feel like they're in a jungle instead of a sane, mono-lingual English speaking province. I wouldn't be surprised if the society collapsed soon.

  5. Another thing that pundits often overlook is that they replaced Klim Kostin and Nick Bjugstad with Connor Brown who has 0 goals, 0 assists and is -5 in 9 games. His next game will cost the Oilers 3.25 million off next season's cap. Plus by running a 21-man roster, they lose the ability to healthy scratch any player to hold some accountability.

  6. We are bit divided. Polls show 89% of us think this was an AWFUL idea. Best coach in the game right now is unemployed. What a joke.

  7. you need to make a video about the habs game vs the canucks, the habs lost there skate blade twice!

  8. All this stuff is done by the numbers

    You gotta know Gematria

    Gematria is an alpha numerica system that uses numbers for letters

    In Gematria

    Oilers = 33

    Knoblauch = 33

    He became the new head coach of the Oilers 33 days into the season

  9. Divided? It's more like 9:1 spread of divination then. Almost no one is happy with this coaching move at all, you can even check Oilers own youtube channel and read all the comments about how fanbase is very upset with the replacement. Most understand that Woodcroft wasn't the one to blame and replace him with another 97's lackey really rile up almost everyone. If Knoblauch can somehow drag this team to playoffs and win a couple of rounds then the Oilers fans will turn on 97 almost guaranteed.

  10. It looks like someone higher than the GM has too much say in what’s happening on the ice and the coach and GM are pretty much powerless to put their own mark on the team.

  11. McDavid Sandwich

    One slice of Jeff Jackson & another slice of Kris Knoblauch, filled with loads of Holland-aise flavoured baloney.

    Chase it with a little Paul Coffee & a Dustin Schwartz, to go…

  12. Of course Woodcroft is out. It's not like Holland was responsible for the terrible Campbell or Nurse contracts, right? Right?! 😂

  13. Holland is like a bad penny. Being both a Wings and Oilers fan….why is it EVERYWHERE not just teams, even in business bad management is always ignored. Fire this twat….somebody wake up.

  14. Exchanging a woody Croft for a knobby lauch is knot the ant sir.

  15. Leafs fan here lol, as a team where our coach has been on the hot seat since summer and our team had a bad start, it’s the players they need to play better, y’all arent much different then last year

  16. If Holland was a real leader…….he would have fallen on his sword…….Woodcroft is just starting his career, Holland has already made his money……….go figure there are very few men of honour left in this world.

  17. Big win? They played a good first. 6 shots in the second. Zero in the third. With out Zach, it’s a 1-1 game.

  18. HOLLAND IS A FRAUD!! Every Wings fan knows his rep was earned on the backs of people who actually built those Cup teams in Detroit. Holland had no idea what to do after Bowman left in '09, and without Bowman to hold his hand Holland's incompetence shown through and proceeded to turn a Cup contender into a lottery team. The Oilers need to send Holland packing before he turns another Ferrari into a junker.

  19. The Oilers fanbase has never been this angry over a firing. 10 coaches in 13 years is due to abysmal management. Period.

  20. I am an Oilers' fan and I am totally unhappy with the firing. It is not his fault. I wish them the best, but this is a terrible decision!

  21. It’s all politics. Setting the stage to justify trading McDavid soon to an American team so within 1-2 years they can give him a cup. Pin this comment so in a couple years you can come back and see that I’m right and perhaps stop watching the NHL cause it’s all political and rigged against Canadian teams. Why would you continue to support that?
