2 points for a win in regulation and OT. 1 point for a shootout win and 0 for losing. Puts emphasis on winning and takes away importance of shootouts.

I think the NBA expanding in Canada is great. Bettman has avoided Canada like the plague and this example is a great slap in his face from the most profitable sports league in North America.
I don’t hate the overtime format, I do however get upset when the 3 on 3 is completely electric then it ends and I have to watch a shootout. Majority of the time I’ll flip to a different game once it’s heading to a shootout
