LTIR for shambles in his brain
Mike Johnson said on Overdrive yesterday that he can’t say to much but he was on the plane with the team for the flight to Sweden and that Klingberg is 100% injured for whatever that means.

Sounds like they tried to get him in a sweedish game before sending him to Robidas Island. Kudos to them.

I think JD Bunkis has the right theory. The Leafs way overpaid this guy in the summer with the collective understanding that if it doesn’t work he will quietly go to LTIR for the year. Gives Klingbery more cash then anyone else was offering, an excuse next summer, and since it didn’t work out the Leafs have cap space at the deadline. The past few days all the magic, oh this is an old injury that’s bothered him for years stories started. Klingberg even said it’s an old injury. They are setting up the exit. This guy won’t be heard from again after the Sweden trip until July 1st.
As much as he’s struggled, it really sucks he’s not getting to play one game in Sweden feel bad for the guy
I have heard there is a bad strain of badplayeritis going around, this one might be a career ender, at least in a Leafs jersey
A bad case of Robididas
If they can sit him on LTIR then that’s great news for this team. Imagine having that salary back to pick up a somewhat decent defenseman in a trade. The team is looking a lot better now that Bert is settled and the bottom 6 has found chemistry.
Still, not a day goes by where I’m not very concerned about Willy pricing himself off of this team for next season. We’re all in on this core *again*, for better or for worse, and this very well might be the last chance.
It’s okay John. Take whatever time you need.
