I’m scared man Woll’s skills have been the only thing making up for the pissweak blue line. How many times this season have the leafs not deserved to win but did anyway thanks to Woll. I hope this is just a quick thing or we could be screwed
I’ve seen a fair few Martin Jones games from his time with the Sharks. Is he the best goalie ever? Not even close. Will he give you a chance? More often than not, yes. You could do way worse for a 3rd stringer.
Called it, the way Woll had to play, a groan or lower body injury was bound to happen. No defence letting your goalie hang to dry is play Russian roulette. Jones did a marvelous job despite being peppered.
Time to trade Nylander ASAP for defenceman or I predict a wild card finish and a quick round 1 loss in the post season.
I blame tree-living and Tavares for Woll's injury! If you look closely at last night's game, you'll see that Woll had to make no fewer than six 10-bell saves including 3 breakaways!! Tree-living has known for weeks now that the defense has been non-existent and did nothing about it! The leafs D left Woll hanging out to dry and were outshot 38 to 22. Woll was overworked and not supported. Then you have a parasitic $11M forward in tavares who is clueless and hopeless defensively and no better offensively and should never have been named captain! And finally, you have a coach in keefe who is equally inept and incapable of training and helping the defenders he does have become better at what they do. Keefe is useless! Feel sorry for Woll!
Martin Jones is impressive. Can he win 27 games with the Leafs, he could. I hope woll is feeling well soon. Ps Steve, I met Rick Vaive recently and I got his autograph.

i was watching the game in Vancouver at The Reagle Beagle, a LEAFS bar, and it was a full and lively crowd watching the play. When Woll went down, the entire bar collectively gasped and said "NO!!!" as if on cue in a Broadway musical. The bar went completely silent as Woll was helped off. When Jones came on, people said "Who's that?" Well, he showed us pretty quickly. He did a great job coming in cold after Joe Woll's Vezina performance. Bad news for Woll, but hopeful signs for the Leafs.
The Leafs are actually sooooo terrible. They cannot outshoot or outplay their opponent in any game. Now Woll cannot bail them out so they probably don't make the playoffs. They are so god awful and I doubt they will ever do anything.
They are the worst team to watch in the league right now. I know people will say they're doing good, no they're not. The Leafs are actually awful. I'm not sugar coating anything.

When you face 40 shots 5 games in a row and you're forced to do the Van Damme 5 times a game your groin will probably explode at some point. Leafs goalies have had a ton of injuries over the years. Andersen, Campbell, Samsonov and now Woll. I wonder why? Because they're required to make acrobatic saves over and over agian because of the house league team defense in front of them. Unbelievable .

Im sry the Sens are a good team. They are maybe two players aways from being right back in the hunt for the cup.. do i think they can make the playoffs this year. Hmmm thats very possible. Look at Florida from last year. And also look at the run the sens went on last year right at the end. but with that said hopefully Woll is back sooner then later and Sammy gets his chit together like last year and we will be just Fine and we get that much needed D trade for a shut down dman but with that all said GO LEAFS GO

Good perspective Steve…if there’s anything to take from Woll’s time away to recover is the hope that Sammy gets some game time to build his confidence back up to be the goalie we know he can be.
Joseph woll played amazing also Martin Jones played solid what a win but I hope that Joseph woll gets better
